Yes, if I were to rewrite that scene it would go something like this:

Liara: :crying: Because I couldn't let you go...I'm sorry.

Shepard: :unsure:.....:happy: *glomps Liara* :kissing:

Liara: :wub::kissing: I was afraid you'd hate me!

Shepard: I could never hate you, Liara.

Ever heard how FemShep asks Liara "Are you gonna be okay?" when asking her about Benezia after she's died? Jennifer Hale absolutely nails that line, she sounds so caring, and concerned. I love it.

Slight off topic but i noticed something weird when Council send me info about Virmire.

There was NO Turian Councilor present during that meeting.
Usually when i brief them after each key missions trio was there, but not when comes to Virmire info.
For me this whole case of Virmire investigation looked like hush, hush stuff arranged by Asari and Salarians whit bypassing Turians.

Maybe they don't trust that Turian councilor will be objective in off when comes to deal whit Saren so they don't inform him about Cpt Kirrahe mission on Virmire?:blink:

And that's remind me that Lia is waiting for my Shep in that bubble so time to get Spectre status and off to Therum :wub::wub:.

Nah, never heard it. While my ME 2 has English + German language, ME 1 is only German. So I know only somel ines in English from youtube, this particular one not sadly.:mellow:

What is exactly driving Liara to go after the Shadow Broker? Guilt, because she choose to save a dead body over a living person (Feron)? Is she a bit of a 'perfectionist' and her motivations lie in the desire to fix what she feels like is a huge mistake she has made? Is it a sense of justice or honor (i.e., the SB is bad or she feels that she must try to repay Feron for helping get Shepard back)? Or, a little of all that combined?

My interpretation is that because of how much Liara is suffering, her guilt for handing over Shepard's corpse, her fear that Shepard will hate her, her guilt over leaving Feron behind to save a dead body, the fact that she now lives in fear of her life, the fact that she's loathing herself for handing Shepard's corpse over to Cerberus due to her own desire to see Shepard revived and resurrected, and her fear and worry about what Cerberus will do to Shepard in order to ressurect her, she's absolutely emotionally broken. She's deep in the depths of sorrow, guilt, pain and torment. She wants to be happy again, she wants to ease her own pain. She then transfers this pain and guilt and vents it at a convenient figure in the Shadow Broker in the form of anger. Liara believes that by offing the Shadow Broker, she will ease herself of her pain and find happiness again. It is extremely misguided, but Liara has suffered so much, that she's willing to do anything to find happiness again, and believes that killing the Shadow Broker is the only way she'll be able to relieve herself of her pain.



That's how I see it, and that's why I believe we're artificially prevented from comforting Liara in her ME2 scenes. It's a contrived way of keeping her current character arc intact, and maintaining it. It's also why I believe we'll finally get the ability to comfort and console Liara in her DLC.
