Liara messages you to meet her on Ilium where she tells Shepard that the Shadow Broker (in concert with the Collectors) has targeted people connected to Shepard, meaning Ash/Kaidan. This could lead into that huggy-teary-snoggy-return-to-the-fluffable-cute-bunny-Liara (at least if you romanced her) that has been noticably absent since the release of ME2, and maybe she even *temporarily* rejoins your squad *for one mission only* (thus keeping her alive through the eventuality of the suicide mission) so you can go off and foil the Shadow Broker's nefarious plans for your only human companion from ME1, concluding with a *real* reunion scene between Shepard and Ash/Kaidan, in which Shepard behaves in less of a dunce-like manner than on Horizon.
Of course, if you romanced Ash/Kaidan, then this would be a good time to do some follow-up convos on the email.
I would like for them to work in Ashley or Kaidan into this rumored expansion/DLC with Liara and the SB. That could be one way to do it.

No, a "true" fan of mass effect will make up their own mind.
ME1 started something. ME2 barely continued it in little more than name only.
I dont expect to be given a game thats an RPG with shooter elements added and to follow up be given a shooter game with rpg elements added. Not without the game being a "true" hybrid, where I can play the game how I want.
You appreciated ME2s shift of primarly being a shooter. Good for you. Dont claim Im not a "true" mass effect fan because Im disappointed because my primary focus of the game got markedly weaker.

Seriously i doubt we will see anything big as DLC before E3 end... unless Bioware did have rabbit ready to pull up from the hat.

The mod that makes powers usable on shielded/armored/barrier'ed enemies is probably one of the best player-made augmentations to ME2.
Link please.

I still need to get that one...haven't had the desire to play ME2 again, unfortunately.

When *is* E3, anyway?

Yeah, its amazing how one simple little tweak not only improves gameplay for non shooter players, but also addresses the inherent stupidity in armour somehow repelling the force of a singularity for example.

Just imagine, both Liara and the surviving Alliance soldier as temporary squadmates, and you roll with the pair of them together. I'd love that!

Didn't you know Dink "true fans" always agree with everything the game does.

Yeah, I'd love it if either Ashley or Kaidan were somehow worked into the Liara DLC or expansion. That would be ideal for all fans of the ME1 LIs.

They already have the system down where you *have* to take such-and-such squadmember with you on such-and-such loyalty mission. Oh, and in *both* games you have had squad members in certain parts of the game you can't have later (yes, I'm talking about Jenkins and Wilson:P). So the idea wouldn't be all that foreign.

Need a DLC for the Lazarus project on Jenkins imo.

Whereas the few sentences the collectors say are more funny than anything else (just look at the jokes in this forum), and the end boss has to be the second dumbest idea anyone ever had at BioWare.
The first being what they did to Liara I take it? ;-)
No, that's the third dumbest thing.

That, or a 'Return To Lazarus Station' DLC, featuring Shepard's entirely random return to Lazarus Station. Worked for Dragon Age.

They could do it except for possible squad balance problems you might run into forcing the player to take two people. I think Kaidan/Liara would be OK for tech and biotics, but would be weak on combat (unless Shepard is a soldier-type). Ashley/Liara would have the biotics and combat, but no tech. Would be good with a techy-Shepard, though.
Personally, I didn't find it mattered much who you took along and I basically just picked random people. You shoot stuff, they shoot stuff, everybody shoots stuff. However, BW would think about this.

Small question to the Liaramancers. I was going to make a thread about this, but considered it overkill. Do any of you have any clue why Liara has eyebrows unlike any other asari? It's been bugging me since 2007.
Her and Benezia both have eyebrows for some reason. I don't think there's any indication on why that is. We've wondered about it for a long time as well.

They're not hair but markings, we believe. They just happen to be above her eyes and not on other parts of her face.
