How extensive to people reckon the markings on a Shepard/Liara daughter would be?
I think she'd definitely inherit Liara's eyebrows and freckles, and perhaps she could also have a pinkish tinge to her head fringe, to denote that her father's species is human?

You know what's funny? Some people take that entire conversation between three drunken guys seriously! It's a joke!!
That picture of Liara on my Shepard's desk? She looks exactly the same as when I talk to her face to face.
Im pretty certain its actually an old forum reference, along with most of the conversation.
It was all "Why do asari find aliens other than humans attractive".
Some poor, ignorant little forumite postulated that asari "affect other peoples minds to make them seem attractive".

Ha!
If you know such things, then it is even funnier, interesting.
@MDK
IF you assume that the eyebrow markings are not painted on or tattooed than the daughter would have them, yes.

Ha! That's pretty cool, Dink. I do know that Jeirt was made into a Thane loving salarian, but this one was new to me.
Imagine if at one point Shepard calls Liara "Lia" or "my Blue Beautiful Goddess"?

Well, they are "link", so she'll always be beautiful to Shep, but you never know. Asari aren't the only things blue. lol

This. Also, if she was stuck in the bubble and had eyebrows then, she wouldn't bother to put them on to look attractive to Shepard beforehand, because she didn't even know Shepard existed.

Back to the eyebrows...
LesEnfantsTerribles wrote...
Then, when Liara was born, she had the eyebrows tattoed on to her as well, as she wanted the same look on her daughter.
I do think it's possible that the eyebrows are tattoos. But do you think Benezia would do that without consent from her daughter? She wasn't always as ruthless as she's during ME 1, I doubt she would have done such a thing.

I don't think Benezia tattoing those eyebrows onto Liara would be that ruthless, really. It's certainly not any worse than human parents Christening their infant children, or having them adopt any other religion when they're not even old enough to talk. Benezia would just been making an aesthetic choice on Liara's behalf. Tattoos on asari skin may not even be permanent, Liara could have had them removed if she wanted to, but like Benezia she liked how they looked and decided to keep them.

By the way i noticed one weird thing about ME timeline.
I think during production of ME 1 devs lost at least one zero in over all dating because 35 years between FC War and attack on Eden Prime is too short time to fit every events.
But that's not a subject for this thread anyway.

I don't know, but isn't the process of applying a tattoo kind of painful? That alone should be reason enough for Benezia not to do it. Maybe it's different in the future, but still. And yeah, it could be removed. But you are still forcing something (quite personal) on someone who can't object. That's not something a caring mother would do. Not if it's not to the objective benefit anyway, and a tattoo certainly isn't.
Perhaps Benezia wanted to ensure that Liara looked as good as she thought she did with the eyebrows? I don't know, but I think that if Benezia did have Liara's eyebrows tattooed on whilst she was still an infant, it would have been for a very good reason.
Hell, maybe Liara had her eyebrows tattooed on herself when she was an adolescent? We know from ME1 that Liara thought that her mother was beautiful, so perhaps Liara saw Benezia's choice to have eyebrows for aesthetic reasons, and decided to emulate her mother because she liked how they looked?

That would be perfectly okay of course, as soon as she's old enough to form a proper opinion on the matter.
I also like the idea that she's done it for Shepard, kind of like that one picture where she plays with the wigs.

Without them, I don't think Liara would look much like Benezia. They probably wanted to ensure that there was some family resemblance, as well as making Liara's face more expressive.

I wonder if you choose Liara T'Soni to Me1 and in the Me2 to remain faithful to her (One of the endings love interest) in Me3 will show children Shepard?
That's what alot have speculated that one of the best possible Liara romance epilogues would be. It'd show Liara and Shepard becoming bondmates, and then starting a family together.
I think it'd be really sweet!

Many of us wish for that, but I fear it's very unlikely. At the moment we don't even know if there will be any meaninful kind of romance content for Liara in ME 3. Since several other romances simply can not produce children, they probably wouldn't want to give Liara fans an "unfair advantage". Though they certainly didn't have any qualms about unfairly disadvantaging us. <_<

One thing that I do think is pretty notable is that it's possible for Shepard to have children with any of the ME1 LIs. Ashley can give birth to DudeShep's child, FemShep can give birth to Kaidan's child, and Liara can give birth to either DudeShep or FemShep's child. Couple that with the fact that these romances can be maintained across the entire trilogy, and is it that much of a stretch to think that one of the rewards for staying faithful to your ME1 LI across all three games is that Shepard starts a family with them?
Yeah it's possible but I don't see BW showing Ash/Kaidan's baby with Shepard, just b/c they don't know how out Shepards look like. So if they make a baby who has no resemblance to your Shepard at all then it won't make sense. With Liara, I suppose that it would be easier since Liara's baby will most likelly be blue (or a close variation to it) regardless of how you Shepard look. The eye color... well that is a is something that might not make sense, but it's not a big deal imo. (green would probably be the best)

Good point, Larask. Perhaps they could just detect Shepard's skin colour, and use that as the basis for any child with Ashley or Kaidan? For example, if your Shepard is black, then the child will have a darker skintone, or if Shepard is a very pale white, the baby will be of a lighter skin colour? I don't think they'd need to worry about specific facial features, just the baby's skin colour. Failing that, they could just as easily show Ashley or FemShep pregnant and with a baby bump, heh!
Liara is alot easier, though. Regardless of Shepard's appearance, their child will always be an asari. It would be alot simpler to just have a generic asari baby model that is used for Shepard and Liara's child.
