One thing that I do think is pretty notable is that it's possible for Shepard to have children with any of the ME1 LIs. Ashley can give birth to DudeShep's child, FemShep can give birth to Kaidan's child, and Liara can give birth to either DudeShep or FemShep's child. Couple that with the fact that these romances can be maintained across the entire trilogy, and is it that much of a stretch to think that one of the rewards for staying faithful to your ME1 LI across all three games is that Shepard starts a family with them?

Kaidan is a no go, since Fem-Shepard was dead. So no surprise baby... Well, unless Kaidan does something horribly creepy and sick, takes your DNA and makes a baby clone of you in order to remember you.

If the ending of ME 3 is an "A few years later..." cutscene featuring Shepard and the LI, there would be no problems. I think that would be great.

If they wanted to go the route with children, there is no reason if people romanced Garrus/Thane etc that they couldn't adopt.That way if they couldn't do it naturally like with Liara, everyone wins

Call me crazy, but I don't really want romance epilogues. Just a short cutscene of them riding off into the proverbial sunset. Let me imagine the future of the relationship as I see fit.

I love that idea, Shavon! And maybe if we're really lucky, we'll get an extra special cutscene if we stayed loyal throughout all three games. I know the odds of that lie somewhere between jack and sh_t, but it's nice to fantasize about.

Sorry. The epilogues in recent BioWare games have just been very shallow. In DA you get three sentences in a text box, barely mentioning the romance at all. It wasn't much better in JE.

I think jtav's point was that no epilogues are preferred so one can imagine the romance continuing on as they see fit. Some of you want 30 babies with Liara while I do not! I nice little scene and a fade to black would be sweet, without setting some romance canon for the future like the epilogues could do.

jib, that's exactly my point. Some people want a "two kids and a dog" ending and some want Shep/Liara to be a nomadic adventure couple that doesn't really settle anywhere. Neither is wrong. I'd hate something that left me thinking "But my Shep would never do that!"

Right, neither is wrong, and we don't know enough about each LI to know what they would prefer, so it would be nice if it was left up to the players imagination.   You could show Shepard kissing the LI as the Reapers are blowing up in the background, then fade to black.  Credits.

Besides, I wanna be a nomadic adventure couple!

Others spotted the two on Horizon helping the colonists rebuild.  Still others claimed that the Commander remaind captain of the SSV Normandy w/ Liara as her new XO ... at least for a time."

What does that even mean?!?  Did they break up?  Are they on a break?  Are they together but parted?
