Morning fellow Liara lovers!

We're discussing and posting songs that fit Liara, or Shepard/Liara, I see?

I have one. Imagine this from Liara's perspective, in the immediate aftermath of Shepard's death, and before she sets out to find Shepard's body:

You Take My Breath Away - Queen

While I love this song, and it is fitting for your situaton, the theme was 'Love Song' for Shep/Liara "meaning alive and together"Image IPB

Good morning, Les!

Queen rules. Period. Liara would love them!

One could be forgiven for thinking that the devs chose that song for the ME1 ending credits knowing full well that Shepard would kick the bucket in the very beginning of the next one...

...but I don't believe in coincidences. :P

While Dylan has written some really great songs, the man has 'never' been able to sing. (this is and has been my opinion for a very long time)

His voice does get rather tiresome after the first three hundred songs or so.

No wonder the covers of his songs are so much more popular than the originals.

Here's looking at you, Jimi.

Sith happens! ;)

In any case, you're right, his voice sounds like a cardboard pinwheel scraping a screen door.

Whoops! Didn't realise it was strictly Liara/Shepard love songs. Sorry!

Here, I've got another song. It's from the Metal Gear Solid soundtrack, and it's sung in Irish, and has a very Celtic feel to it. I'll post a link to the lyrics with an English translation.

Imagine this song as a theme to Shepard and Liara's love for each other:

The Best Is Yet To Come

Link to the lyrics, with an English translation.

Enjoy!

I have been all over the world, and Ireland is my fav place in the world that isn't home. I have dreamed of moving there for a long time. Scotland is second fav place. I love Celtic music, some of the best is performed by nobodys in small towns all over the island.

 Glad you caught the reference! The project which cloned Solid and Liquid Snake from Big Boss.

You know, does anybody else see paralells between Liara and Otacon from the Metal Gear series? When the protagonist first meets them, they are in grave danger and have to be rescued. They're both scientists and researchers who are very reclusive, and enjoy their solitude. Once they meet the game's protagonist, though, they begin to adopt a tougher, more harder attitude. They're both stronger, and more assertive. They both suffer alot, losing the person they love.

Eventually, Liara is trying to kill the Shadow Broker, whilst Otacon is urging Snake to murder Vamp for killing his sister. Both Liara and Otacon are scientists, who have had their lives changed by meeting Shepard and Snake respectively. They both toughen up, and become harder to a certain extent. I do see some similarities between the two.

Thats really cool, I had never thought about that until now. The similarities are errie. Really makes you wonder if someone at BW has a soft spot for the MGS series. I wouldn't put it passed them.

I have not played MGS in a long time, but you could almost compare Emma,(I think) Otacon's sister, to Benezia as well. Emma dies in his arms, much like Benezia, so to speak.

Edit:I haven't left quite yet Image IPB

Haha, I noticed you already touched on that Image IPB
