Shepards enemies have discovered his achilles heel and have set out to destroy the invincible crate and waist high wall placing and manufacturer. If Shepard fails in his mission to stop them, he will be doomed to shooting gallery levels with no conveniently (and ridiculously) placed invincible waist high cover.
Obviously a Reaper plot.

Hehe, after reading the thread today and the comic thread in announcements I'm half tempted to start a new Liara thread. "Liara Fans Against Further Liara Content", asking BW to, at this point, just leave the poor character alone and halt this horrible character assassination she has gone through. No dlc/expacs and no appearance in ME3.
No Liara is better than more Un-Liara.
You should start that thread and I'd laugh if it turns out tomorrow's DLC announcement does involve Liara!

I would but I'm not nearly invested enough anymore to care to come up with something witty as a first post.

Yeah my "care about mass effect" meter hit rock bottom around about the time pre-ME2-release Bioware amped up their intensity and took a massive dump on my emotional engagement in the series to create a more mediocre shooter title that apes Gears of War.
When I actually played ME2, the meter broke.

Yeah, looking back it is hard to imagine how boneheaded one would have to be to say "Hey, know what would be great? Lets take all the characters and all the things people loved about the first game and throw them out the window. It'll be great!".
Even harder to imagine how boneheaded someone in a position of decision making would need to be to approve that instead of firing the person who thought it up.

If they haven't that much, then pissing off a significant portion of their fanbase would have been all for nothing.

Hopefully the sales beat ME1s, but not by enough that ME2 becomes the model for ME3. I think Bioware seriously needs to take more from ME1 than ME2 did. Plot and character structure first and foremost.

They wanted to change the entire game it seems, including characters (which is why we have all the new ones). The thing is, most people seem to like the changes. They think they did good work.
Seems like it,then again humanity is always drunk on its own hybris esspecialy in the state of success, maybe the wake maybe not thats wait and see I guess
And from what I read about the next novell it smells somewhat that they establish a canon at least if its true what the description says, but on the other hand maybe this novel could lead to the end of Cerberus since we need a clean slate for ME3 and stuff
On another note my guess for the DLC is either Appearence Pack 2,some heavy weapon or something that involves shooting

We won't really know how much folks do or don't like it till they release the numbers for intial sales of ME3.

Goodwood likes most of the changes. Except those made to Liara, Ashley and Kaiden. Oh, and the thing with nerfing tech and biotics against protected targets...

We are debating whether to hope for a Liara expac or pray that it never happens. I think we are pretty much 50/50 on the topic at the moment.

This part of the forum is doing well, Goodwood thinks. Well, it is on a bit of a downer trend, but hey, the fanbase here has been through a lot.
That said, welcome, stranger!

That's what I heard, but then other websites were saying it had sold more. Any ways I got attached to Mass Effect from ME2. The only other Bioware game I had played was KOTOR1 and KOTOR2 if you want to count it, even though it's technically not BW. Otherwise I stick to FPS because most RPG's are missing a very important part...the romance, which Mass Effect1+2 nailed.morrie23 wrote...
Apparently ME2 has sold 1.6 million copies so far: http://kotaku.com/55...ells-a-lot-more

This is my biggest fear for ME3.
Another thing i always wonder about is how the F""" did Jacob and Grunt make the cut, and not Liara and the virmire survivor?? <_<
Those two characters sucks so much, they are almost as bad as Rico from killzone 2!
Arghh!! Somebody cure me from my pessimisem!

1) Make ME 3 more like ME 1, to keep the true fans. People who liked ME 1 probably bought ME 2 without hesitation, as they expected more of the same. They will not be so quick to buy ME 3.
2) Dumb down and shooterize ME 3 even more. Maybe it just wasn't enough...

No, ME2 didn't even break 2 million copies.
