The fact that the retail version of the game shipped with those Liara DLC files included tells me that it's been planned for some time. If they had really changed their minds over releasing this content, then they would have removed those folders as they're taking up valuable disc space. They're only placeholders, and very small in size. It wouldn't be too hard to remove them from the game's coding.

What if they changed their minds after releasing ME2?  The files would still be there.

She announced it on her Facebook Page, down around April 3rd.  Here's an interview w/ Corinne too.  Leli and Liara are my main Shepard and Warden LI's too.  I always tought the two were sort of like "sisters" in the gaming world, similar personalities to a certain extent.

I'd imagine that if you're going to make a huge decision about a core character like Liara in that manner, it's not something that will be discarded easily.

I think that the presence of those files suggests to me that the Liara DLC may have been in production for some time, and we're added as placeholders to implement them into the game easier.

'Liara' and 'discarded easily' are two concepts that have been smushed together before (ME2).  Why should the future be different?

Corinne Kempa Leliana is not in the Expansion Pack, the dlc is a separate product, Bioware has told me that it's a loads of fun to play. Just wanted to make sure not to confused everyone!! I would love to voice Leliana again, and work with Bioware as I have had a brilliant time working for them!! We will see what the future holds....

Nope, those came later. I do however still have the broom I was given that day!
I take it out for a spin every once in a while!
