Pretty much how every encounter with the old squad felt.

I dont like that its forced on the player constantly, and not just any kind of combat either - the game almost entirely forces you to play it as a soldier would as a bland cover based shooter. I probably found about 15 minutes max of non-combat play in ME2, compared to roughly an hours worth of it in ME1 at any specific point.

It's all like "Wow, you're not dead after all, Shepard. That's cool. See you later."
At least Liara has a reason for not being that shocked that Shepard is alive again.

Albeit the dialogue is incredibly easy to miss, but still...

Wrex was pleased to see Shepard...and Conrad.
Wrex was pleased, and his cameo is by far the most upbeat which makes me think hes been made comfortable in it.
Conrad... His first reaction seemed like shock and fright. Cant blame him, since apparantly some space time distortion rewrote history, and instead of convincing him to go home and stop being an annoying fan, he claims Shepard shot him and Conrad had to take up the mantle of badassery.
Either that, or Bioware just got lazy and decided since it would have to be somewhat different to write how Conrad decided to go against staying and home and deciding to go out and be a jackass again.
I know people say its supposedly a bug with the flag, but Ive never seen any alternate footage that proves a reaction for a paragon response to Conrad in ME1. If they can find vague references to the mythical Liara DLC, surely theres proof of a different Conrad reaction, right?

I think I set the flag once with the save game editor but still received the same comment from Conrad. This means they don't check the flag. I haven't come across different dialog, but I haven't looked.

The bug with the flag isn't in ME2, but in ME1. It flags both Paragon and Renegade outcomes with Conrad, this carries over to ME2, but it selects the Renegade flag for some reason.
I know its in ME1, but did they not know that in ME2 and developed the content for Conrad which is never seen by players, or knew and didnt care, and just wrote the encounter as rewriting history from a renegade perspective?
Edit: Unseen email sounds likely.
Certainly sounds lazy and pointless enough.

You know, Liara really does have the most expressive face of all Mass Effect characters, I feel. It really does help to convey what she's saying, and her feelings and emotions. I love it!
I do agree...I love it. Nice closeup.

Shepard Disappoves -1
I think it would've been a nice touch if Shepard only made that face if they were in the Liara romance, and loyal.
Good thing Liara wasn't there. Although most likely the reprimand wouldn't go further than a sharp elbow to the ribs. She's not the kind of person who flies off the handle at remarks like that.

My favourite in ME2 is just as she starts to say "I barely escaped with my own life." She has this heartbreaking little sorrowful expression on her face, and her eyebrows raise up and everything. Hey eyes, her mouth, for that split second she looks so pained. Liara has a very expressive little face.
I love that one too! I wonder if I have a pic of it? Will look.
