Yeah, but we're getting a comic and, IMO, a thoroughly sweet and moving story of Liara putting herself through hell and back all for Shepard. I'm glad that Liara's been given this huge role in the trilogy.

Hey everyone, just updated my story about Liara with a third chapter. The story title is "The Distance Between Two Stars". Let me know what you think...it is rather dark though, but I assure you the ending I have will give you some satisfaction even if you don't believe me now...

Also thanks for the great comments on this forum so far!

Not bad I have to say, a little to dark maybe but I'll keep my fingers crossed for a brighter end :)

screwoffreg, I enjoyed reading that. Your dark interpretation of Liara is interesting, and heartbreaking. I disagree, and think that it's going to turn out that Liara had been horribly manipulated and hates what she is doing, but it's interesting nontheless.

Well done!

A litle too dark for me... but regardless... very well done! Looking forward to more.

I tell you what, when you apply the "Liara working for Cerberus" theory to her scenes in ME2 and then rewatch them, it really does give them an added dynamic. Such as, if TIM told Liara not to fraternise with Shepard anymore, but she still can't resist running up to him/her and kissing Shepard, before regaining her composure and pulling out. Her sorrow and guilt when she explains what she did to recover Shepard's body. It all makes it so much more emotional.

Actually, I know that one right off the bat:

Alyna Shepard:  "Sounds like you want to dissect me in a lab somewhere."

Liara:  "What?  No!  I did not mean to insinuate ... I never meant to offend you, Shepard.  I only meant that you would be an interesting specimen for an in-depth study... no, that's even worse!"

That is my favorite Liara moment right there Posted ImagePosted Image.

:wub:  That's a good way to start the day.

I guess no one has a video link to that special scene? My ME 1 saves are pretty messed up at the moment, and besides i'm at work, but i would just love to see that scene again.

Indeed, I believe I have that scene (and every other scene with her) permanently memorized (that is definitely a good thing :D).
I love you Liara! :wub::wub:

Hehe, I have alot of Liara's ME1 dialogue memorised, and pretty much ALL of her ME2 dialogue memorised.

I should note that I mean the Paragon conversations with Liara, I could never be nasty to her!

I don't think it is even possible to be mean to her.
I don't even know what the renegade conversation options with her are either, lol.

Whoops my bad. It was over 8 mins long and had all 3 parts. He didn't choose the right thing on the wheel to get that dialogue option. I'll keep looking.

I agree on that while it doesnt change Shepard being an idiot it makes the whole scene a lot more bearable.

Thx again, but nothing to apoligize for, surely not your fault. I'm nevertheless glad though you keep looking, can't get enough of her cute smile

Not until we help her finish off her grudge. I think she'd be interested in learning that the Collectors are the remains of the Protheans.

I think Liara can only be "romanced" if she was already romanced to begin with. And maybe she will have a special power only available to those who were faithful to her too, as a "reward".

To be honest, I'm hoping our "reward" for staying faithful is a lot more than one power to be used in combat! :D

Oh yeah DEFINITELY, but I can see the extra loyal only power as a reward in ADDITION to some...other stuff. XD

like making romance more deep even+extra heart-squeezing [in a good way]romance scene for example?:innocent:

I think all of us Liara lovers throught that when we found out. :D

To answer the original question: Maybe. Liara's and Shepard's lives have become so intertwined now that Liara may actually briefly abandon her career as an archaeologist in order to help and be with Shepard. She now knows that there are greater things at stake.

I sure hope so, this way we could have her as a squadmate again.
