As far as we know, her father is still alive, right? Would be nice to meet in ME 3. But then it would be nice if Spacer Shepard could meet his parents too (and maybe introduce Liara to them), and that will never happen either.

Have you seen the Romance Pack idea I have linked in my sig.  Add in the ME1 LIs and it would be right up your alley.

Yeah, for some unknown reason, I liked the default look better than anything I could come up with. I should start a femshep one of these days. I haven't played one before. That would be interesting.

I always play femshep for some reason.  I think the idea of a tough female soldier saving the galaxy is pretty cool, I guess.

Some speculated it's the Asari bartender. She does say something about being the father, but it didn't work. But people always try to find connections, fact is that no hint about a connection is given.

Most of Berenzia's followers didn't follow her when she revealed her plan to try and steer Saren.  So they're still out there somewhere.  And like I said before, Shiala tells you that she's been following Berenzia for nearly two centuries and since in ME2 Liara is 106 this would obviously overlap her birth.
Her father is obviously a she though because of being another asari.  I honestly got the impression that Liara was saddened by not knowing who her father was, but since Berenzia seemed sad everytime it was brought it she didn't pursue it.  Liara has to be pretty famous in asari circles now, and Berenzia's death has to be known too, although I doubt there are many details on the death.  If her father was still alive and hadn't made contact on their own even after all of that then they must not want anything to do with Liara.  So my personal take on it is that Liara is sad about it, but sometimes it is better to assume they're dead rather than look behind the curtain and find out that they are alive and want nothing to do with her.

I like the idea of Liara calling her a "space hussy."  Funny.
