I'd go with the whole biotic barrier excuse if it weren't for the fact that the lack of helmets seems to be a problem for most of the squadmates regardless of biotic ability.Erinlana wrote...
I always wondered why Asari have different breathing helmets to humans and in me2 Samara doesn't need to cover her entire face ..

Which is why I'll limit my squadmates to Tali, Garrus, or Legion whenever breathing helmets are involved.

I think it's because it's necessary for asari to have different helmets in general. If you look in ME1, Liara's helmet is bigger at the back in order to accomodate her head fringes. With that in mind, I imagine asari have their own unique breathers too.

I do like the look of that armour, though. If Liara is a temporary squadmate in her DLC or a Liara-centric expansion, then I can imagine her either wearing that armour, or a full 3D version of her Redemption armour.

I think it'd be interesting to see her wearing Feron's trenchcoat along with her armor.

Why/how would she have his trenchcoat? Why would she wear it? We don't need to give the "lol liara loves feron not shepard" crowd any ammunition.

Someone else put it very well in another thread: ME 2 is like playing baseball with a violin - some people will find it "cool", but it's a lot of wasted potential.
