Maybe they were quite leniet with Joker's punishment due to his role in defeating Sovereign? He did land the final, killing blow with the Normandy, after all.

Still, directly disobeying your commanding officer's orders, which results in her death, should have a pretty heavy price to pay. He got off lightly, IMO.

I don't think anything really happened. After all, he was suppose to keep the ship going till everyone was off, while still trying to save the ship. He just refused to leave once everyone was off.

But you know what gets me? Joker never says anything about it to Shepard. You know, like "Sorry I got you killed. It should have been me". Instead, he's like "Hey! You're back! I heard you got spaced!"<_<

I was thinking about the Normandy blowing up the other day.It occured to me, that if the collectors attacked the Normandy to kill Shepard and pressumably recover his body. If in theory Shep did make it to the escape pod with Liara,would'nt they both be dead? They(Collectors) seem to be advanced enough to target something as small as an escape pod.It seems to me if they wanted Shep dead, an escape pod would not have helped.

A lesbian love triangle?  Well, there is Kelly...

Supposedly, the Kelly 'fling' is saved and marked for ME3 (if they'll use it, that's another story).

Instead of getting the confrontation between Kaidan and Liara, the game seemed to just defaulted to Liara, because I unlocked her sex talk after finishing Kaidan's "I can't wait till we have shore leave, to get a chance to talk!" That's odd...I always get the confrontation at some point.  I wouldn't count on being able to romance Liara without having romanced her in ME1, though.  That would be cool, but might take extra effort, unless they just reset the entire romance for all.

I have a theory that they'll allow you to have a second chance with the ME1 LI's in ME3, that's for the default Shepard's, or those who might have picked Ash, but now want Liara, or vise versa.

I have the same idea and think it would be an awesome way to RP the Liara relationship (given what happened in ME2/Redemption) , but if they don't give you the option, you're screwed!  Unless, you have the PC version and can flag the Liara romance as being active in ME3 or something.

Yeah, I wonder....what happened when the rest of the crew opened Joker's escape pod to find it 'Shepardless'?  I'd imagine most assumed that Shep was on the final escape pod that was launched, along with Joker.

Joker probably felt like the biggest douche in the universe, in spite of his ego.

Well joker does regret what he did a little bit, and Joshua shepard did forgive him, Joker is one of Shepards true friends in the Galaxy, even if Jokers ego gets in the way of thinking.

Well, I have the Liara romance playthrough now, with everything done. (Wants to pass out, and annoyed that he'll have to redo 10 hours side missions, just to redo the romance.) And since I love ME2, I have no problem replaying that again if things don't work out.

Anyways, I thought of a cool idea for ME3. Say you romanced Ash, but turned her down for Liara. This equals some hate to Shepard. But then, in Mass Effect 3, when you having a wedding on the Citadel, you see Ash arrive last minute to be there for your wedding. And vise versa with the other romances.

Well, I wouldn't say she saw him/her die, since in the beginning Redemption, she's still not sure if he really is dead or alive. But she saw the Normandy blow up, with him/her still in it. So there you go.
