Yeah. I'm fine with the direction they're taking Liara's character, it's just the execution that's incredibly poor. There's still hope that with sufficient exposition, clarification and elaboration that Liara's ME2 role can still live up to it's potential. As it stands, though, it's poor, and requires detailed analysis and a series of assumptions to make any real sense of it.

I'm confident to the point of certainty that Liara will be a squaddie in ME3, though. So I think that ultimately everything will work out fine with Liara.

What ME 3 needs is the option to import ME 1 savegames. Since they care so much about people who haven't played the previous game(s), maybe it'll even happen? It's not as if anything important happened in ME 2 in regards to the actual thread, the reapers. Everything is still as it was. If ME 3 would be great again, I would like to be able to go from ME 1 directly to ME 3.

Same, depending on what the "default" choices they would import from ME2 for you.  IF ME3 returns to some of the epicness we saw potential for in ME1(I'd say that is a big 'if' at this point) I still have a ton of characters of all classes and moralities I would want to take through ME3 but I have absolutely no desire to play them in ME2.

I think the only problem was that the diiscussion was on the way to become Me2 general discussion and drift away from Liara...and admins dont like to see that IF they stop by and have a look :)

My heated and in-depth debates and discussions with the likes of scmadsen and Dink about Liara have actually been pretty insightful and constructive. There's nothing wrong with the exchange of differing opinions, ideas or theories, as long as they're about Liara.



This thread actually deserves credit for remaining on topic and very much full of in-depth Liara discussion despite her pants role and scenes in ME2.
