I'm sure Liara (if a squad mate) will have her own unique armor outfit...I can't see her wearing something similar to Samara. Ashley would probably get Pheonix armor for hers. Kaidan, the black Onyx armor....basically what they wear on Horizon.

People tend to prefer the outfits to armor, so I'm guessing they'll keep that.

They can give liara armor, but make it unique. I do beleive that if Miri comes back in ME3, they should give her a type of outfit armor like Thane got or her next outfit be half armor like Thanes. Does not really matter for liara tho, she will most likely use Barriers like Jacob and Jack (thust hey don't have real armor)

I hope they bring back armour for squadmates in ME3. I don't particularly want Liara running around in combat in casual clothes, or worse if they decide to sexualise her up and have her running around in heels and with her cleavage on display. That'd be awful, and so unlike Liara.

THIS!

One of the best things I like about Liara (and it took me a ridiculous amount of time to realize this) is she isn't an asari in the grand tradition of sex appeal; unlike 99% of other Maidens, she isn't getting paid for removing her clothes.

Are you saying Samara is a maiden

Samara, being nearly 1000, would be Matriarch. But she does say that in her maiden days she did all the things a lot of maidens do, I would assume that includes stripping for credits... The turning point for her seems to have been the trip when she was a mercenary where she found out a load of slaves were going to be sold to the Collectors.

I liked Liara's armour in Redemption. It was sexy, but practical. I have a feeling it will be used in the Liara DLC or expansion, to tie the whole Shadow Broker arc in ME2 into Redemption.

She'll probably get redesigned armour in ME3, though.

Ya I know that, I would go as far to say that Samara became the woman she is now because of Morinth. Samara is one of the strongest biotics in the unverse.

That armor would work, and it would go with Biowares plan to have characters look unqiue. I do think tho that if we go into dangerous places everyone gets a envir suit or if they have real armor (Garrus) they wear a helmet. As much as I love ME2, when I saw Miri wear a breather mask I was like WTF!!!???? hope her new outfit that is going to come back is like Thanes armor (half armor, half outfit) and give her a helment.

Maybe Lia will get full 3d redemption armor as her outfit?

And no, i seriously hope that in ME 3 Bioware will break whit this crazy X-Men clotching style.

EDIT:
I think most crazy situation was when we take unloyal Jack on Haelstrom...<_<.
IF that sun was able to grilled shields and weapon systems in light speed then all what should  remain from Jack after brief sun exposure is a pile of dust...

What do you bet the Reapers are responsible for the existence of biotic powers?

Well, she can ...fly... sort of.. never seen another Asari capable of that.

Nah Biotic powers are the cause of Elemnt zero (which is dark energy) it is poseable that the Reapers might have made Ezzo but I doubt it. The only race that devs biotic powers with no help is the Asari, however I would not be surprised if the Protheans had something to do with it. We know they where watching the other races like Hanar and Human.

I can't remember....MIranda just uses shields for protection (in game), right?    Theoretically, she could use biotic barriers.

I think it's more of a hover my self, but it did look cool.

I think if they were going to go the whole route of having Liara wearing casual clothes in combat, to tie into ME2, they would have had her doing so in Redemption. Since they designed her own unique armour for the comic, I think it's safe to say that Liara, along with Ash and Kai, will always be wearing their armour in combat.

I hope Liara is back wearing her labcoat as casual clothes when she's back on board the Normandy in ME3, though! I love her labcoat!

No matter what Redemption was, it was nice to see her wearing the labcoat in the end of the comics.

I gotta admit, this morning when I woke up I was feeling some *major* antipathy toward you guys. (No, we don't need details.) Thankfully, I got my senses out of the laundry and started focusing on our common ground. What it comes down to is you've gotta stick by the characters you love (and I feel really bad for those of you who are unhappy at the changes in Liara's character--she has been and will continue to receive attention that my favorite character will never have).

So this is goodwill from the Ashley thread. As we say over there (but slightly different), Liara is worth it!

Huh? I like Ash a lot too, so I'm not biased when I say that I think both characters received about the same amount of attention for ME 1. In ME 2, I think's it's about equal too: All fans of the ME 1 LIs were completely screwed. While Liara is more important to the story and we can visit her all the time on Illium (though without any changes in her dialogue), at least the Ashley romance is recognized by several people, and you get a nice email.

That's very true, I loved seeing Liara wear the labcoat at the end of Redemption!

I like to think Liara has her labcoats stored safely in her closet in her apartment in ME2. Every once in a while, she'd take a look at them, and perhaps wear it for a short while, reminiscing about those happier times with Shepard, and pining for those days again.

I can actually imagine that being a really sad scene, seeing Liara staring sadly at her labcoat, wishing she was back with Shepard, just like how things used to be.

Yeah, it's stuff like that I often forget when I'm down in a slump. I get an attitude that's not fair to you guys and I shouldn't.

But, I still think Liara is going to have the next Iphone minigame.

All collectors have barriers and collector guardians use warp ammo. The asari as an artifical race would make sense. They all have biotics and could mate with other species.Maybee with the task to weaken the population number of other species.

Goodness, me! Nearly every time I come here there's some sort of talk that revolves around a sad Liara. Can't this girl ever be happy?

Liara isn't exactly happy in ME2. She's suffering badly. :crying:

Makes the fact that our Shepards can't properly comfort her even more exasperating!!

Think of the solution, not the problem. Puti resolutionis non consultationem. Just because she's sad now doesn't mean she never was and can't ever be happy.
