Heh, I do vary the context and content of these little imaginings. You should see when I post my really happy stuff, like imagining the Liara romance epilogue at the end of ME3, with Shep and Liara and their two little asari daughters! Squee!

blah just have to wait till ME3 comes out... hopefully soon, yet I would like them to take their time on it and do a good job as well. Just hate how they left the whole Liara suffering and not being a squadmate and all on ME2! So they better bring her back as a squadmate and romance in ME3!!

There's a good chance you'll be able to determine which Liara romance epilogue you'll receive in ME3 through dialogue with Liara herself. If you tell her you wish to carry on fighting the good fight once the Reaper threat is defeated, then the epilogue will be Shepard and Liara traveling the galaxy righting wrongs, and solving problems. If you express desire to settle down with Liara, then it'll show Shepard and Liara becoming bondmates, and starting a family.

I'd love that. It'd be great to determine which romance epilogue with Liara you'd get.

If we must have romance epilogues, I'd prefer LET's suggestion, though I'd much rather just have an open-ended scene of them holding hands and riding off into the sunset.



And I have a question: how well-known was the Shepard/Liara relationship? I have this mental image of the pair of them being dogged by 22nd century paparazzi during the few weeks between the attack on the Citadel and leaving to fight geth.

yeah I would agree with Les.. and there is always room for improvement as well ^.^ I hope its something like Liara finds the shadow broker goes after him and you must go and save her from him then she rejoins your team and romance options comes up again. Then Shepard with the rest of his team goes off to join the galaxy against the new threat... so on so forth a lot they can do in ME3 so long as Liara is a team mate again and a romance I'll be happy so long as the two dont die and as you said a great ending with her =D

I think it is well known...Kasumi knew about it.  Someone on the Normandy probably leaked it and the paparazzi went nuts.

yeah the topic of their relationship would be well known after as much fame they had after defeating Saren and all. Saving the Citadel was big so anyone who payed attention to the news so forth so on would more than likely know and the news would be all over anything about Shepard and his life.

This I have to wonder, because Liara is a very cautious about romance in general. I wonder if she would request that, after Ilos, she and Shepard keep their relationship out of the public eye. Perhaps even asking they take a step back, for now. Because, even after throwing caution and hesitation to the wind for one night, Liara doesn't seem like the person to just 'click' --so to speak-- into a openly romantically intimate relationship with someone all of the sudden. To say nothing of the most famous human in the galaxy.

While they probably wouldn't not be romantically intimate at all, but I think they would keep public displays of affection to a minimum.

People would probably put two and two together anyways, but I don't think it would be officially acknowledged by Shepard and Liara, at least while they're off dealing with the geth holdouts.

Of course, that entire little argument right there might just be completely debunked by Kasumi's line about hearing of Shepard and Liara being "an item".
