that too, for spacer shep you get an email from your mom and its like she knows your alive yet nothing about Cerberus... and everyone else seems to know about your new "connections" even tombs..

What's even worse is that Hannah Shepard turned down a substantial military promotion to honor her son's memory, and now here he is, working for Cerberus.

maybe b/c she knows her son and that, like chakwas,  she knows he will do it all for the right reasons? xD

Maybe, who knows,I mean the whole galaxy basicly turned into a bunch of idiots living in denial within the two years since Shepards death, mainly of course so Cerberus could shine and look more "heroic"

Yeah, I think we can conclude that Shepard is a pretty poorly written character in ME2! I'm actually reluctant to import my new Adept FemShep, as I think she's awesome and I'll hate to see her act like a moron to Liara, and be an emotionless idiot. Sad, but true.

Oh, and I loved the Liara bomb, MDK!

Oh, I'm sure Shepard and mum will straighten things out, but just imagine the rumors before they do so.

true strike  ...I wonder what goes on in ME3 with the Illusive man, does he strike at Liara bc he is pissed at Shep for leaving if you choose that path lol. I know he wont doesnt go with the story but would be interesting. will probably become indoctrinated and join the reapers while trying to "save humanity" from them with his top "asset" gone. j/k

After some deliberation i reach my personal consensus that SF-RPG games are dead, however i still have that veeery dim spark of hope that Bioware proves me that i am wrong.

But let us be serious, how many todays players have patience to "datamined" thousand lines of the dialogs between PC and NPC?

For majority important is ACTION... Kotor? - terrible combat, ME 1? - booo even worse combat than Kotor... ME 2? - finally more pew pew...

Call me paranoid but i am starting to afraid that ToR could be rather gigantic failure because Bioware decided to create MMO highly bonded to story line... rather heavy risk i would say having some personal experience whit MMO world.

Like i once say i think Overlord DLC will in fact be a probe what current ME dev team understand under "story line" concept.since he is advertising as first story focused DLC.

And to end... i seriously hope that my decision in C-base to say "Sayonara" to TiM will be RESPECTED in ME 3... but something tells me that in ME 3 we will be still work whit that scumbag...

I still say its like LotR. have to remember, besides all the character emotions, This is the middle game. connects 1 and 3, it was bound to be less than the first and the 3rd if done right will be epic. IF they could add more detail into each character and bring back the emotions as how they had it in ME1 would be great! Im confident that ME3 will be done right. As ive said before I dont like what they did with Liara in ME2 but this could be for the larger picture we cant see until the third is released.

One thing that Liara has over all other squadmates in both games: She cannot die, and is 100% guaranteed to be in everyone's ME3 save. This increases the likelihood of her playing a large story role in ME3, and I'm confident to the point of certainty that she'll be a returning squadmate, too.

Not only would it please fans to have her as a squadmate, it would make sense from a design POV - as you say, she can't die before ME3. That's a character fully created right there - they'd be crazy not to use her.

I know nothing has been confirmed for ME3 squad mate wise, but I would be absolutely stunned if Liara and Ash/Kaiden aren't back on the team.

This.

Considering the amount of characters is likely to be similar to ME2, I'm positive there will be SOME characters coming from both the first and second games - and who out of all those characters is the ONLY one will will always be alive?

Only one...

I agree I think the surviving members from ME1 will come back and some from ME2... I think Shep is going to have to travel around and unite the various races of the galaxy in ME3 so he/she will have to go after for example wrex... who is working to unite the krogan, even the rachni if u saved the queen in ME1 sends you a message saying they are waiting and rebuilding to face those who soured their mothers and will join with shep when the time is right.

Watch them not put Liara in ME3 as a major character because (derp) some people didn't do her hacking mission, and thus Nyxeris got her!

Liara is a for sure to return to ME3. I imagine her return will be "BIG" and an important part of the game. They just need to make sure to have her come back as a team member and a romance! =D

I've given up caring about squad composition. Too busy being terrified that my gavorite characters will be mucked up. Occupational hazard of belonging to various fandoms. I kind of want to be left to enjoy my toys in peace.

They really just need to give some inkling of how they're planning to work the ME3 squad (they won't of course), as it would allay a lot of fears. I mean, they HAD to have planned beforehand how squad members were going to work in ME3 with the whole suicide mission dynamic.

Could you imagine if they killed Liara off in such a trivial and meaningless way? No way would they have her die if the player flubbed up the Observer sidequest.

It'll be handwaved away, and Liara will deduce by herself that Nyxeris is a double agent working for the Shadow Broker.

i agree they wouldnt kill her off in such a way. It will be like how they did it for those who didnt know she saved shep in the first place, she will bring it up in a conversation i imagine.

The thing about Liara is that if they play their cards right in ME3, she has the ability to show up in future titles because of her status as "invincible". Not only that, because of the Asari's long life time and her being fairly young, if in theory a game takes place in say 30-40 years after ME3, she will only be 138. Where as even the youngest squad member will be middle-aged or worse.

That being said I would have been on sooner, but a snow storm in the middle of May killed the power here.Image IPB

Looks like Casey says we are in for a "continued stream" of story expanding dlc, and that they aren't ready to talk about ME3 for "quite a few months," implying to me a time well past E3, so I wonder what is in the lineup of announcements for June related to ME. Image IPB
