I don't think comments like that will ever be welcome amongst the Liara fanbase and in this thread. Ever.
This bears repeating.

Things that make you go Hmm...
Of course they will probably blatantly ignore the fact you had a relationship with her just like they did in the core game. At this point I would be happy with an email acknowledging the relationship. But if they *gasp* gave us a love scene like the me2 love interests; I think every would be happy.

Question for those who know Liara better than I: would you find Liara referring to Shepard as "my love" during a moment of high emotion (such as when she leaves Lazarus Station after handing over the body) to be OOC? Part of me wants to use it. Part of me thinks it would be overly sentimental.
Nah, I can see that. We know that Shepard means a hell of a lot to Liara, even more so if she's romanced, so I think her referring to Shepard as "my love" wouldn't be OOC at all.
I think they've made a conscious decision to avoid having Ashley, Kaidan and Liara say "I love you" to Shepard so far because they want that moment to have a tremendous emotional impact, probably in ME3. When the ME1 LIs eventually tell Shepard that they love him/her, it'll really seem quite powerful.

Ha! I was going to say 'no', it would be too sentimental for her at this point in the relationship.

Yeah, I don't really see her saying it either. Not at that point in time and most especially if we are talking ME2 Un-Liara instead of ME1 Liara. In ME1 the most informal way she refers to Shepard is, well, "Shepard". Usually choosing to use "Commander".

Were still not even clear how its going to pan out really, so I think there is still plenty of opportunity for Bioware to carry on from ME2 and end the romance on a low of poor writing and development.

Think back to how Liara only refers to Benezia by name when she's talking to Shepard, and prior to Noveria. Then, when you confront Benezia on Noveria, Liara exclaims "Mother!" in anguish. That is also a very emotionally charged moment, and it seems that Liara lets go of her inhibitions somewhat when that's the case.

^ My first picture of her.....changed the colour scheme to green quite late on, as Therum's colours weren't working right with Liara's outfit.
^ You'll notice Freya Shepard's N7 tattoo is missing, as are her scars - hadn't even given them any thought at this point
^ An attempt to make Freya appropriately muscular. Originally she was going to be alone, then only Liara's leg was going to be visible through a door - then I just decided to go the whole way
^ This was really just an excuse to use the female Alliance uniform. It's on the disc for both ME1 and ME2, but isn't seen anywhere in either game
^ I really wanted to somehow draw them both naked, but in a non-sexual way. I think it went quite well...
^ 'Dirty Dancing' anyone? Liara's outfit is of course in keeping with her coliurs...

I think due to this gaping hole in the trilogy featuring Liara and Shepard, unless ME3 is incredibly well written, its going to seem rather anti-climactic if they finally get around to the "I love you"s, particularly if its right at the end.

Well chances are they will reset the romances with Ash/Kaidan and Liara so we have to start from square one again and it will end with the usual scene before the final battle, also I imagine that would only be the case should they really be squadmates again
Should they really go the route and ram Liara character completely into the ground with a potential Shadow Broker DLC and have her replace him,I guess that would mean she will sit behind a new desk on a random planet in ME3,in that case Bioware can again reduce it to a few extra lines without putting much effort into it
Frankly I wouldnt be totally suprised if they throw yet another bunch of new romances at us in ME3 and reduce the ME2 ones to "Just flings, nothing serious"

Part of me hopes that Liara can be romanced by someone who did not romance her previously. I have a Shepard who didn't romance anyone in both ME1 and ME2, with the hopes of being able to romance Liara in ME3. If they do this, though, I do hope this romance plays out different from the one in which my Shepard has romanced Liara through ME1 and ME2.
It seems they might go this route. Last night, after finishing Horizon, Kelly asked my Shepard if she had feelings for Kaidan (even though she did not romance him in ME1). Either this is a bug, or it seems BW will give new, ME2 players a chance to re-romance Ash and Kaidan down the road...I'd assume Liara as well by extension.

I agree. They have done so much damage, I wonder if it's possible to fix it in a single game. That goes for Liara as well as the rest of the game and story. It would probably be possible if the writers and developers were left alone and given the time they need to do it. Fat chance... <_<
The best thing we might realistically get is a romance of the length, quality and depth from those of ME 2. <_<
But my expectations for ME 3 are zero anyway. I wouldn't even be surprised if there was no Liara at all, or if they would kill her. <_<

Seriously though, listening to Liara telling Shepard to sacrifice the Citadel Council is just plain bizarre.

*pointedly ignores ME3 discussion* Thanks for your help. I won't use the "my love." Too sentimental. I feel so sorry for Liara in this prologue. So sure Shep will hate her and Miranda won't even allow her any illusions that Cerberus sees him as anything other than the best hope to stop Reapers. And the sad thing is that all her fears are justified.
I should have a sneak peek for you tonight.
Looking forward to it, jtav. If possible, could you send me the link to your work in a PM? I'm in a vastly different timezone to everyone else, so if it's posted in this thread overnight it's likely it will get lost. Thanks in advance!

How is the " romance scene" in ME2 (single Shepard)?
- no picture
- no sex scene
anything...?

Not only that, but Liara also shoots Saren's corpse in the head, and Kaidan radios back to Shepard to confirm he's dead. It looks very odd.

That's one bad thing about ME1...a squad mate can act OOC depending on who else is in the part. Both Liara and Kaidan should tell you to save the Council (unless Kaidan has been romanced and turned more Renegade).

off the topic but they could have just stayed up there with Shep and taken the assault rifle to him or even sniper. His body wasn't that far down there and was in plain site on the cs

They should have had it so that, for example, Liara and Kai always give Paragon advice, both Wrex and Tali would be sceptical of saving the Council due to the way in which they treated their respective races. Something like that.

Haven't got there yet (I'm curious as well) but I'll let you know when I do. I would guess that Miranda still comes up to you in the CIC and gives her little speech and salutes you. After this, it would probably just cut to the next scene (Shepard/Joker/Miranda in the cockpit before traveling throught the Omega 4 relay).
