Yep. Funny that, isn't it TIM? The fact that Liara risked her life to recover Shepard's body from the Shadow Broker so that your organisation could get it's filthy hands must have slipped your mind, huh? <_<

Yeah, once I got wind of that right there, what little respect I had for TIM was thrown out the window. Now every chance I get, I'm a complete A-hole ,and try and do everything in my power to screw with him. Which thanks to BW  isn't much.Image IPB

Well not keeping the base, Miri and Jacob quiting, losing the Normandy and all the Cerberus personal and Shepard now rogue is a massive kick in the quad to TIM.

It's also kind of silly that neither Tali or Garrus have any unique dialogue with Liara. As members of the original Normandy team they went through a great deal together, and it would have been nice to have that acknowledged by a line or two of extra dialogue.

Same with Miranda. No "Hey, it's you! Wow, I guess you guys really pulled it off!"

You know, with the hidden dialogue files, and the inconsistency between ME1, comic, and ME2, and the lack of "stuff", a part of me thinks her role was done last minute, and kept changing and changing.

I knew TIM was lying about Liara working for the SB the very second he said it.  It sounded so outlandishly out-of-character for her to do that, that I remember thinking to myself, "Oh, man, what the hell did you do to Liara's character, Bioware?"

And then I actually met Liara on Illium.

Things didn't get any better until I found out after-the-fact about the "secret" conversation option.

I remember when the first previews for ME2 were written in December of last year, when the media ban on the game was lifted. These previews stated that Liara was working for the Shadow Broker, as the players had only managed to talk to TIM and hadn't met Liara on Illium yet. Now, at that time we knew the general story of Redemption, and that Liara was working to recover Shepard's corpse from the Shadow Broker in order to prevent him selling it to the Collectors. This puzzled me greatly. Why would Liara work for the organisation that she fought against? That tried to do something horrible to her friend/lover?

I eventually came to the conclusion that Liara may have made some kind of deal with the SB. She'd offer her services as one of his agents, in exchange for Shepard's body. Liara would sacrifice her own freedom in order to save Shepard. It never occurred to me that TIM was lying.

I might shorten the name though, I'm not sure if it's too long or not.

Well, I don't know about lying, since the Observer has been helping Liara with her information business.

In what way was Nyxeris "helping" Liara? She was working as a double agent for the Shadow Broker, she was feeding Liara misinformation, and she was plotting to kill her. Nyxeris was trying to hinder Liara as much as possible.

The Observer wasnt  helping her, she probably planned to kill Liara eventually. She was just keeping up with Liara and giving the SB information on her.

LET, I think I would have liked your version of things much better than what we actually got.

As far as Renegade romancing Liara, I'm running that right now. Haven't played through the romance in a very long time and need to refresh my memory. Will post my impressions as I go.

I always wondered why the shadow broker didn't just kill Liara as soon she started her information broker career? Don't tell me it's because of that data Liara have in her possesion. I want an actuel explanation!

I mean "Hey, Liara! Look what I got! Here's some info on those bad Shadow Broker people. And, look! Here's some info on screwing over some more Shadow Broker people. Yeah, we're so screwing over the Shadow Broker right now!"

(behind the scenes, Liara been doing Shadow Broker business without even realizing it.)

That's not really helping, that's more like manipulating. Plus, how would TIM be privy to such information about Liara and the Shadow Broker?
