she couldnt be only b/c ME2 is the bridge from ME1 to ME3 they keep all characters who have major roles in ME3 out so that they couldnt be killed. She will come back in ME3:D

It's sad to say, but I don't even bother with hope.  I would like for that to be the case, but after the treatment of the ME1 romances (and from being jaded by BioWare's parent company...) I am going to leave all emotions regarding the future in a kryptonite box until we know one way or the other.

lol dont think we are bashing them lol just thought at first they were taking a fight to over here on the liara thread, but they were not.

true but im going to remain hopeful. in one of the interviews Casey said they were holding back some of the ME1 characters who were LI and teammates b/c they couldnt be killed in ME2. This leads me to see that in ME3 Liara Ash and Kaiden will be important too. Being that important I think they will be brought back onto the team along with the surviving ME2 squad. of course BW could completely not do that but im being hopefull

I'm hopeful that the supposed 'DLC that will bridge ME2 and ME3' will contain content to further develop the story and characters, including Liara and Ashley and Kaidan. You would think the ME2 crew would be involved as well.

I too believe everyone will see the light of day again. What they did may seem quite horrible now, but might have secured a gold-ticket for the final game in the series. I know BioWare has made some choices I disagree with now but may look back in the future and go Hey, that was smart

Agreed, its possible that they have had the whole thing planned out from the start. If they do, this all could make sense in the future. Even if it does not now.

I'm thinking the inevitable liara dlc will have some some ash/kaidan in there as well. They seem to be giving ME1 romances equal treatment. Which is good.

exactly. Mass Effect is a trilogy, with that being so ME2 is the bridge. Like in LotR and most trilogy the 1st and 3rd are always the largest and usually the best. the 2nd is just there to link normally has a lot in it that wont be explained till the 3rd hits. BW said these are a trilogy yet could stand alone as well, and they so far can. However one of the interviews Casey really explained it well that made me 100% confident that Liara and the rest of the crew will be back in ME3 and not just as some npc...

my point with the trilogy. they had to have some of it planed ahead, regardless of making adjustments and changes they knew where they wanted this to go ahead of time. i was upset with how they did Liara in ME2 however knowing how trilogy play out it will be logical when ME3 hits and i think the whole team will be back
