Jack is a nightmare if your playing male and have no intention to romance her, Tali have nothing to say. Miranda is the only one you can shut down and without feeling like a complete ass. Garrus is just calibrating the guns all the time if you play male.
My last two attempts (male and femShep's with Liara romance) I basically just went through the game talking to no one. Was boring as hell. BW games really are pretty terrible without any connection to the characters.
Yeah, no sex no talk, wrong gender no talk<_< it's lazy writing in my opinion.

No I mean, I just stopped talking to them. My first game I completed with my single Shep to romance Tali and took the time to talk to everyone. After that on my Liara games I simply had no reason to talk to anyone. Just bang out the recruitment missions and done. It was a lot like playing a bad GoW clone. <_<

Yeah, it pretty much feels like playing COD 4 (last shooter game I ever bought and got rid of, hell yeah!) if there is no emotional immersion into the game.Nozybidaj wrote...

Everyone always goes on about how great multiplayer is, but I get bored from the repetition within a couple of minutes of killing the exact same guy and having them say, "F**k you", over and over again. *cough* Halo 3 *cough*
I only play RPGs and some strategy games now (sometimes GTA IV) I don't know why I would put out money again for something that I can play through in one day (again, Halo 3).
I hope BioWare takes a good look at ME2 and the shooter style the created it in and they say to themselves, "This is not one of our RPGs".
They created a universe that was interesting and had Liara in it, then they took it all away in ME2. Hopefully they will give Liara back in the expansion and ME3 and the actual storyline back in ME3.

I know, Shepard was even happier to see Udina for god's sake. I thought I would never see the day when my Shep (who hated Udina and still hates him) would be happier to see him then her love.Littledoom wrote...

That's exactly what I thought playing CoD4 multiplayer. You run for 5 seconds, get shot and respawn. After getting hooked on the Mass Effect series I've played very little other games. They don't have the depth that BioWare games have, and are way less interesting. I can't stand how much they changed with ME2 in terms of plot, but the combat system is a lot better imo. What I want to see, is have them bring back the writing to its ME1 roots, but keep the new combat system. That would make for one hell of a game.

Man, 125 pages! Guess this thread is heading for a lock and v3 thread soon. Well, I'm just stopping by to show my relentless support for Liara and a Liara DLC. More Liara is better, it's as simple as that.

"things will be a bit rocky between you this time around because you’ve been away for two years. "
So.... sitting there stone-faced while your love interest pours her heart out = "rocky."

Lol, I made it to level 26 in CoD 4 before I asked myself, "Why am I torturing myself for absolutely no reason, when I could be playing ME1?". I never looked back.justinnstuff wrote...

Definitely, if BioWare can bring back the great story and writing and add the new combat system and bring back the RPG elements, they would create a perfect game for ME3 (or as near perfect as possible).

God I hated that. Liara is about to burst into tears telling you how she recovered my Shepard's body and all he can do is sit there like.
Hug her for God sake! Say something!!

Hug interrupt if there ever was a need for one and some comforting words to express Sheps love. How hard can it be to put that in the game?
Deltaboy37-1 wrote...
Yeah, I agree, it couldn't have had to cost that much more to add a hug interrupt in there. But I suspect it is because there are eyes on her and maybe there is some sort of contract thing she is bound to that prohibits her from interacting too much with Shepard. IDK, I am totally making up stuff right now to ease the pain... maybe I just need to shut up, LOL!
