Well, mister or misses emotionless space zombie from ME 2 might not be the best romance option but my ME 1 Shepard were actually quite nice. I don't feel bad for Liara that she had to romance them.^^ But squadmate/squadmate romances would be really great. I know that Baldur's Gate had some, but how is it with Dragon Age? Didn't play that.
DA:O didn't have any full romances, but I think Zevran hits on Morrigan, Leliana, and Alistair.
Baldur's Gate 2 had one, Baldur's Gate 1 had a few.
I wouldn't mind inter-squad romances, but I doubt they'll do it in ME3, as they didn't even have inter-squad banter in ME2.

Looking good, MDK! This new Liara piece is sure to be great.
Any idea when it will be completed?
Hopefully sometime tonight.
I know I say that a lot, but considering the lack of.......ah......complicated layers.....such as weapons.......or machines.........................or clothes....
Sweet! I'll try to stay up in order to see it!

I would like it if they tell you, or you see in ME3 that some other team members hook up with other people if you didnt romance them.Jack Package wrote...

As I said before, I'm going to start it again - but only the first story will take place during ME2. After that, it's going to diverge away from anything resembling a logical version of ME3.
It's inevitable the release of ME3 will make the entire series of fics innacurate, so there's no point me even trying to think of what could happen in the next game.
So instead, I'm going to give the two of them the fanfic saga they deserve

That's a good idea. If they don't do a better job with ME 3 than this time, I'd rather consider some fan fiction or my own ideas to be "canon" for me anyway.

I plan on doing this as well. I already have a canon for my Shep/Liara romance that add some extra scenes to what happened in ME1, will do the same for ME2 and ME3.

Still in the pipeline
I'll probably get some commissions done before I start on that one - otherwise they may start to get a bit annoyed

Whilst I haven't done it quite as extensively as other Liara fans, I like doing the same, too. I've already imagined a few extra scenes in ME1, plus a few in ME2 both pre and post suicide mission. I also have a few lovely ideas for Shepard and Liara's epic romance epilogue, and what the pair of them will do and how they will live together once the Reaper threat has been dealt with. I will write some of these down someday, as I love imagining up romantic stories between Shepard and Liara!

No need to sound so surprised.
I take commissions through my deviantART page - it gives me a chance to branch out and do things that aren't neccesarily fanart.
For example, one of my current projects is a portrait of the person who's paying for it, but as a personification of the astrological sign Leo.

Ahhh, I love thinking up these romantic or heartwarming scenes. Especially the one featuring Kate Shepard, Liara, and little Liana and Aaliya Shepard-T'Soni.

I've been lurking in the Jack thread and trying to decide what I think about Liara and sex. Kind of have to, considering the story I'm doing. Miranda's preferences are pretty set in my mind, but I'm still working on Liara.

Ah, you must be reading the little conversation both myself and J had in there.
Yeah, we did think up of a biotic power for use during more intimate moments.

MDK has Freya, and I know several people who have detailed and specific backstories for their Shepard. Not me. I can describe my Warden all day, but Shep is just...there. I can't even stick to a character concept for more than five minutes.
Perhaps you should considering creating one with the purpose of expanding his/her story?
With Freya I'd already thought up some backstory elements based on what we knew about the game pre-release, and that also gave me a basis for what decisions she would make during the game.
I find characters that vary between paragon/neutral/renegade are much more appealing in terms of becoming attached to them. I tried getting attached to a renegade Shepard I created, but I felt nothing for her because I was choosing her actions based on getting as many renegade points as possible.
