I think she'll be an asari commando.

I don't think so, she hasn't received any commando training at all.

Plus, that was always one of the most integral aspects of Liara's character. Rather than spend her maiden years as a stripper or asari commando, she became a scientist and studied archaeology.

(replying to something old)

I think she could have gotten training during the 2 years if she wanted to. And after ME1, I think her science days are over. Besides, you've seen her beat up those guys in the comic, right?

I'd like to think she is naturally gifted along with being an Asari.  She was ridiculously overpowered in ME1 when it came to actual fighting game play.  Liara can take care of herself and I hope to see her in the future with her biotic gifts.

Well as I got it Commando training seems to be something that takes a very long time to accomplish, though in general I see Asari commandos more or less as just glorified Vanguards
As for the comic,I would say the action was over the top, also she was basicly made into some sort of completely invincible superheroine, which doesnt mesh some stuff she says in the game but whatever

Though I fear her scientist days are really over, wouldnt be suprised if they ever mention that she was one again,I guess she will either continue "mob boss" style in ME3 or maybe they set her up as more "in your face" kewl badazz sort of like Jack or at least how she was marketed
Or they just run the old "cold though gal" routine, works almost everytime and ME1 was a long time ago when ME3 will be released so I am prepared for another round of character assasination

You do seem to discuss her character outside of romance alot, which is good, b/c I've never romance her.

Biotics where ridiculously overpowered and unblanced in ME1.

We are very open minded :wizard: we know some people did't romance Miri, but why should we make our thread "romance only" It's the fan thread and group, not the "I romanced Miri thread."

Yeah, just spam lift, plus shotgun or pistol with marksman, and then everyone's dead.

I have my RP character pictures in a album that I created. My RP storyline I have Liara and Tali as her parents. I been RPing for 3/4 years now, lately been RPing Mass Effect. I can also edit and create art work with Daz Studio and Adobe CS2. I have and created good Mass Effect work, lately not long ago I found the Asari Headpiece morph. I will be making more soon.

To show them here, I am unsure how to do that, I have photobucket and albums with some of my works. :) Oh I as well agree with you guys, Liara is very talented, skilled and strong. Recent from what been happening I believe she became and gotten stronger and more powerful than before. I wouldn't want to miss with her My beauty. Hehe. The choices and decisions that you make, I will and would be very careful. I tried it and played, beat the game in different ways. I am choosing to stick with Liara. ;)

Just spam singularty(sp) while some people might hate the biotics in ME2, I lvoed it because they where alot more balanced in ME2, tho I miss objects flying around the room. :wizard:

I mean in ME2. While I know that biotics were a wee bit overpowered in ME1, adepts in ME2 felt clunky, weak and ineffecient. A complete opposit with the engineer (weak and boring in ME1, fun and balanced in ME2).

I had no problems with Adapt in ME2. I felt it was fun, I don't really care for Adapt and Engie to begin with. I roll with Soldier, vanguard, sential(sp) and inflitrator. :wizard:

Havent played sentinel. But all the gun-focused classes in ME2 were pretty fun.

Good choice!  :-)

You can post pics in here using the [ img ][ /img ] tags (without the extra spaces).  If you're already using photobucket, you can copy the link codes right from your album without adding any tags.  Just make sure not to include any nudity.

Yeah, I missed that somewhat. Though I got trapped in a room sometimes because of it, or an enemy floated through a wall, and couldn't be killed.

Yeah, biotics are still good in ME2, but they become more trouble on insanity, unless you're an Adept. Example, Jack is very useless on insanity, though still one of my favorite characters. Pull is still good, but I have to waste points on Shockwave to get it,  which isn't good at all, and very underpowered. Hopefully, biotics will be better in ME3.

I find it interesting that the people who complain about the potential sexualizing of Liara in the comic and other media seem to also be fans of MDK's work which features her unclothed and engaged in foreplay with FemShep. I don't mind the naughty art at all, I just think there might be a little disconnect in the logic there. Has anyone else noticed that?

This is interesting, and worth debating. Too bad some people are unwilling do so properly, or maybe just unable.

Anyway. There's a difference. If you want an example for sexualizing, look at Kelly in ME 2. In the end she's reduced to be the priiize, a piece of decoration in Shepard's cabin. At least the developers portrayed it to be her own free will, but the intention and the result are obvious enough. This is distasteful and disrespectful, even though she's only a virtual character. It may still be nice to look at (personally I find her outfit a bit silly), but it doesn't change the fact. What people fear is that the same would happen to Liara in a movie, she'd just be the pretty little thing to be plucked by the cool hero, and then just as quickly forgotten. Oh, just like Kelly, she wouldn't complain, the writers take care of that. But it's still bad taste. I wouldn't like to see a character I like be reduced to such a role.

On the other hand, the characters in the ME 1 love scenes wear even less than Kelly does, but it's done tastefully, as everyone will agree. The woman is not reduced to a thing, her own feelings are taken into consideration. In that case, the depiction is a natural part of the scene. It goes without saying that it still shouldn't be too graphic.

Now, it's everyone's own business if they want to see stuff like that. But it's not a double standard if someone likes MDK's work and at the same time doesn't want to happen to Liara what I described above.
