I think I may challenge myself the next time I play ME1. I'll play an adept, and I'll have Liara and Kaidan as my team. I think I'll enjoy having a biotic overload. Or is that not wise? Should I at least have a character with some soldier capabilities?

Also, was anyone else like me and kept Liara in the squad, but switched out your other teammate when you had to do Garrus or Wrex's mission? I couldn't leave Liara on the Normandy!

I find it hard to force myself to be that optimistic. If we had more to go on than speculation and wild imaginings it would help.

I would mix it up just in case. Some enemies have damping, and a full biotic squad will have trouble with that. The third squadmate should have some tech or some combat capability.

i played as an adept, still am... liara+ashley worked every time for me at least.

I always used Liara and Ash/Wrex for whatever reason, and when I needed tech, it was Tali. So we all have a lot in common.

 lately i made some experiment [2weeks ago or so]: played part of ME1 as tech/biotic mix and it felt so good did same for ME2 and i felt like....WERE'S MY INFILTRATOR!!! TIHS ONE COMPARED TO SAME class IN ME1 IS AWFULLY BAD:(:(

Seriously one of the best pieces of Liara artwork there is, and the artist has get every one of Liara's beautiful features spot on. Her gorgeous eyes, her cute freckles, her sweet button nose, her kissable lips. Love it! <3

Nah, I ran with Liara/Kaidan all the time with my adept.

I loved how Liara commends Shepard's compassion when you switch off the vegetative guy's life support on that abandoned freighter where his girlfriend attacks you. She's so sweet and caring. :)

I take the companions along that I like best or which make sense for story reasons, which means I usually have Liara and Ashley in the team. Combat wise it doesn't matter, the game is easy enough even on the highest setting. Though in ME 1 it still makes some sense to make sure you can decrypt/unlock, while in ME 2 of course that element was cut too, so it doesn't matter at all anymore. <_<

I actually have an example for this being done recently.
There is a major multi-billion dollar court case going on right now with some of the biggest financial institutions in the world (WaMu, JP. Morgan, and the American FDIC), and the lawyers for WaMu (who get paid millions of dollars a month) hired someone to read online investment boards and report back to them about what the investors are talking about.
Now, you would think they lawyers would just say, "screw the investors". But they are actually listening to them.
If major business lawyers actually do it, I wouldn't put it past BioWare to do it for a Liara expansion.
Just in case, I am going to say: This is not off topic because I am using the situation as an example.

If they want us to be happy with the expansion, they have to listen to what we want.
Or else they will be stuck with a bunch of pissed off people again and they will be right back where they started.
Video game companies and companies in general run on loyal customers.
Or to quote Sovereign, "you exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it". Lol.

Huh, my exact squad (three quarters of the time, unless I play with Tali replacing Garrus).
It is nice to see Shepard and Liara together like that :wub: (Garrus can make it up on his own, lol).

That's an awesome drawing.

Something that seems weird to me:

There really MUST be a 3rd party keeping Liara quiet. She went through hell to bring Shepard back, is hunting the Shadow Broker to avenge him/her and yet lets Shepard leave to die without a word? That's not believable at all, unless something else is going on behind the scenes. I don't buy the "doesn't want the shadow broker to know about their love" because, well, it should be obvious given the fact that she was willing to steal a corpse. Plus if the Shadow Broker is at all competent, he'd know it anyway.
