I think Liara can get pregnate, but it's more like "getting pregnate at 18". And unless Liara has help, I'm not sure if she's ready to be a parent.
I think it works differently with asari than it does with humans. Humans can get pregnant before society considers them to be 'adults'. I think it's the opposite with asari...asari are considered 'adults' in their society even before they can conceive a child (matron stage). I think it's very strict that an asari cannot get pregnant unless she hits this specific stage (the codex says this, I believe). Liara still has a few hundred years.
So, no baby for you!

Since they announced a Mass Effect movie being in the works, what certain actresses do you people think would be good for Liara? For me, I can't think of anyone one, but one thing's for sure, is that when the movie comes out eventually, IF it comes out, I'll like it even more if there's romance with Shepard and Liara. Plus, I would predict having the asari in the movie appear the same with the actresses appearring with blue make up all over, and head mold design of their head fringe.
I hope the movie isnt about Shepards story at all to be honest.

I would bet it would be done like AVATAR from James Cameron.

Hmmm, that's very, very true. Liara is still barely an adult by asari standards, so it is still very young for her to be starting a family. I guess it's her choice, though. If she wants to have children with Shepard, I'm sure she'd do so.
Going back to what jtav said about the differing lifespans between Shepard and Liara, that's another thing that is pretty interesting about the Shepard/Liara romance. What will ultimately be a very moving and bittersweet end to their time together. Liara is still willing to enter into a relationship with Shepard, despite the fact that by the time Shepard passes away and leaves her behind, she'll still have hundreds of years left to live. And yet, she's still willing to have Shepard be her partner, lover and bondmate because she means that much to her. Very. very touching.
Reminds me of Highlander and the Queen song Who Wants to Live Forever?
would go to show how much she cares for Shepard yet again

In any case, wouldn't Liara want Shepard to spend time with their children? If they decide to have a child whilst Shepard is elderly, then Shepard will pass away whilst their children are still young. I think Liara would want to have children with Shepard whilst they're both still young, so that Shep could spend as much time as possible with her daughters.

You know, that might be another reason why she pulls back from the kiss. Her first relationship with someone started and ended in 2 months. In the back of her mind, she could be wonder "Do I really want to go through that again?" "Should i really get attached to him/her again?"

I don't think any of the LIs should get a happy ending with a white picket fence and 2.5 kids. Happy ending, yes, but I'd prefer something more open.
What I'm hoping is that you'll be able to determine what kind of romance epilogue you'll receive in ME3 through dialogue with your LI.
If I express a desire to Liara to settle down, then I'll get the family and children happy ending. If you tell Liara you wish to carry on fighting, then it'll end with the pair of them travelling the galaxy and righting wrongs. Something like that.

always could be but in my opinion it was b/c of what happened and her guilt of giving shepard to TIM.

Nah, I doubt that. Me personally think it's more because, after 2 years have gone by, it's like kissing a stranger. You don't know what to do.

If that's the way it works, and no NSFW images are visible unless the user manually and intentionally logs in and unblocks them, that should be fine. I feel bad about preventing people from seeing good fan art, even adult fan art, but hey, rules are rules. The BioWare Social Network doesn't allow for adult material to be posted or linked to.Jack Package wrote...

Ok, thanks!I commented there, to keep the discussions in the threads they belong.
Ah, Senor Woo had stated this before with the linking. I would propose that we will just post the links to the deviantpage and not to single pics. The page itself has a filter so that no NSFWs can be seen, only after logging in and clicking on certain buttons which remove the filter. I think this would be allright then?

Ali Hillis is Liara, and should continue to be Liara.

However, the movie should be events prior to the game series and should not include any of the current chartacters other than the antagonists and how they got that way. I don't want to see a ME movie with any current characters, including Liara. Benezia, yes since she ended up being an antagonist, but there should be no story dedicated to Liara there.

So then can we just say something like "I'll PM anyone that want so see (artists name) new fanart to you, as it is NSFW"?Stanley Woo wrote...

also have to view the fact 2yrs is nothing to an Asari... the long life spans they live would make 2yrs nothing compared to humans with spans of from what I gather in Mass Effect 150yrs. Saying this I doubt it would seem a long time to her. And from the "hidden" text in the game after you help her she is indeed feeling really bad about giving shepard to TIM

There's a few I would love to see this happen for! Especially Liara in light of the ME2 fiasco, but Bw historically hasn't done this (I don't know about BG or NWM games) and so I assume it will be an open-ended ending.jtav wrote...

I also think that Liara breaks away from the kiss, and is somewhat distant afterwards, because of the fear that Shepard will hate her. Just look at that incredibly sad, pained and distant stare Liara has on her face after she turns her head away. It's very poignant.

Yeah, but she also said "It's been a long 2 years." And said person got involved with someone that died soon after.
Think about it like this: it's been 3 months since you been away from a friend, and then you run into him. Sometimes things go well, yet sometimes it's hard to talk to them, because something is different, and you don't know how to react to it. Also, how do you react to someone that you've put away for 2 years, and then they come back? Again, it's like a stranger, except you knew them.

Also, just to add, the reason why I don't think it's just because she's afraid Shepard would hate him, is because, even after saying he's A OK about it, she's still distant. Which is why I think there's more to it then that.
I'll remain confident with what I think as I respect what you think as well

Liara means that she's afraid Shepard will hate her when she eventually finds out that she was the one to hand the body over to Cerberus. If that's playing on Liara's mind, and the fear and self-loathing is eating away at her, then she's going to be incredibly fearful and a little distant.
Alot of people seem to miss the fact that it's Liara that instigates the kiss, not Shepard. She was glad to see Shepard, and eager to rush up and kiss her. But her fear and pain suddenly bubbled to the surface again, and she breaks it off.
