Ya it would, love to see here picking through some Prothean ruins and finding some powerful artifact that has her pited against all the mercs in the galaxy... lol, that would be glorious!jlb524 wrote...
I still like my 'Liara T'Soni and the Temple of Doom' idea. I want to see archaeologist Liara in action!

I don’t know about you but I would like to see how they did Liara in real flesh and blood... unless the totally stuff it up so I can’t sleep at night.
Part of me thinks it would be awesome to see Liara on the big screen. But part of me doesn't want it because of how they could potentially screw her up. That being said, the movie is far from done, I wouldn't be surprised if it never saw the light of day.

Kind of like that discussion that we had before regarding any possible game in which Liara is the lead protagonist. I'd like it to be something similar to Tomb Raider, in that Liara is exploring old Prothean ruins, but there would be a little more puzzle solving involved as I like to think that is representative of Liara's intelligence, which I want her to utilise.
Also, the chance to play as Liara using her biotics whilst wearing her labcoat would be awesome!

It's got to be true to her character, though! No anger management issues and incredible violence like Liara in Redemption.
haha, agreed, if it was about her being a information broker, or like Redemption, instead of an archaeologist. *sigh* I don't even want to think about it.

I could see it. Set prices for certain information, if the person doesn't like it she could sent Asari Commandos, or Krogan bounty hunters to intimidate the person till they pay.
Every once in a while the SB will send an spy/assassin after you, and it could be like a boss battle!
If you do good in the game, they could have in-game rewards! like have Shepard show up, and go on a date/sexy time!
I'd buy it in a heatbeat!

In terms of Liara,I feel they could only make it worse with a movie featuring her,but then again I dont really care that much about movies in general so its doubtfull I would watch it at all
When it comes to character spin offs while generally not a bad idea in theory, the problem is you play with a character that is pretty much set and also like the movie there is the risk that it could make things even more worse or better if were lucky but I wouldnt count on that
Also we have still ME3 before us and lately I wonder if ME2 was a setup to change Liaras character even more since ME1 was a long time ago when ME3 is released so there is plenty of opportunity
As I see it they could have Liara just have continue "Mob Boss" style,or make her new version of Jack, you know play her with a more "in your face" attitude or go with the good old "cold tough chick" routine
Overall there are plenty of options to desecrate the corpse of her assasinated character even further

Indeed. I'd much rather Liara not be featured in this movie at all, than her being done badly!

I don't think there's any doubt she'll be in the movie. A sexed up, hollowed out nightmare version of her.LesEnfantsTerribles wrote...

I said it before in the group, but you know those Hollywood movies with an Asian setiing, like in China or Japan? You know how the white American male protagonist has a fling with a demure, shy, submissive and delicate local girl, before then moving on to the more "legitimate" fellow American woman?
Liara and her romance will be a sci-fi version of that. John Shepard will sleep with a subserviant and delicate version of Liara, before then moving on to an exagerrated neo-con racist parody of Ashley. Fun times!

When Shepard passes away and leaves her behind, Liara will still have hundreds of years left to live. All of that time without the person that means the most to her in the galaxy, the first and only person who has touched Liara in that way, and who has meant something dear to her. Pretty sad, no?

Don´t think so. Ashley has to die to redeem her family name, though I found the Shanxi thing more as the Wiliiams deserving an apology. With Miranda however...

"That's why I need to find the Shadow Broker. For you....and for me...."
What interested me is the second sentence. We already know that the main motive for Liara hunting down the Shadow Broker is for Shepard, but the second part there, and the manner in which she says "for me" leads credence to my theory that Liara is doing all of this due to all of the pain she has suffered, her guilt for handing Shepard over to Cerberus and the fear Shepard will hate her. She's hunting the Shadow Broker because she believes that ending him will ease her of her pain, and that she will be happy again. It's still not entirely healthy, but it's very sympathetic. Liara is seeking to redeem herself in some way, ease herself of her pain.
After hearing that on this audio file, I tried to find it in ME2, but to no avail. Any idea as to how I can get Liara to say that?

Also, I was listening to an audio file J created and sent to me in which she had compiled all of Liara's ME2 dialogue together. One specific line caught my ear, as I'd never heard it before. It went something like this:
"That's why I need to find the Shadow Broker. For you....and for me...."

The line will be said if Shepard is angry at Liara for handing is body to Cerberus. I always find the way she says the line so tragic!

They're ruining Liara!!!!!!!!
Maybe the movie will take place 300 yrs in the future and an older Liara will show up! That would at least mean she can't die in ME3....

Ahhhhhh, I see. So that's why I've never heard that line before!
I gathered that the line Liara says that's something like "And if I hadn't done so you'd still be dead!" is said after Shepard gets pissed at her. The manner in which Liara says that line is so sad, very tragic. She sounds heartbroken.
