Ah, do you mean my comments regarding the complete absence of any real kind of romance exclusive content with Liara, the inability to comfort her, and Shepard's emotional stoicism in Liara's scenes, muskett? Yeah, I think all of that was done on purpose for a very clear reason, because alot of it will be tackled in the Liara DLC or xPac.

Like I've said before, I think the "Because I couldn't let you go" dialogue path is so easy to miss for a reason. We're not actually supposed to find it, and the status quo has to be maintained that Liara is still guilty over handing Shepard's corpse over to Cerberus, and fearful that Shepard will hate her. It's why Shepard is as emotional as a bag of bricks.


Actually Les, the surprising part was that most of the people saying it were people I've never seen before, and a quite a few had no connection to this thread or fan group.

I agreed with you 100% when you said it a while ago. It seems so forced and unnatural. Top that off with the dialog being quite hidden, it sounds like a shoe-in for the DLC to me.

So true. Most aspects of Liara's ME2 scenes feel so unfinished and incomplete. I mean, how OOC is it for both Liara and Shepard to not mention their relationship at all if she's your LI? It's ridiculous!

That's why I'm extremely confident that the romance will be tackled in Liara's DLC.

With regards to E3. I'm preparing myself for if the expac in not announced. By no means is it the end of the world. They have announced story bridging DLC between games, how much DLC is hard to say. I'm confident it will happen, its just, with the potential for quite a few DLC, Liara's DLC might get a little...buried. Thats why I'm going to watch E3, but if they don't announce it, I won't consider it the end of the world.

I expect nothing. Nothing Liara related, and certainly nothing proper. I wouldn't even be surprised anymore if they announced DA 2 to be an FPS. <_<

The first one (green skin) is Shiala, you meet her on Ilium if you spared her in ME1. The second one is the merchant who smuggled schematics from Noveria. The third one i am not sure but it seems like the first asari you meet when you arrive at the spaceport on Ilium.

On a more optimistic note, and at the other end of the scale, how awesome and exciting would it be if the first ME3 teaser trailer is revealed, and Liara is featured prominently fighting alongside Sheploo? That's virtually a guarantee of squadmate status!

I know, I know. But he's going to be continued to be featured in marketing, whether we like it or not. If Liara is in the ME3 teaser trailer, then she'll be alongside him.

And on that note, does anyone have any fic recommendations for a neophyte Liara fan? Any pairing or none, though I'd prefer something not especially fluffy.



And thanks for not running me out of here last night. Curiously, I'm getting a more positive response to the idea of Miranda/Liara here than the Miranda thread. Strange.
