Ah right. To be honest, I'm glad you didn't go down that route.

I want the birth of Shepard and Liara's first daughter to be a joyous, memorable, emotional and happy event. If Liara gave birth to their daughter in the time between the events of ME1 & 2, then it would be shrouded in secrecy and deception. Plus, like you said, you're opening up the whole can of worms as to whether it's in Liara's character, and the whole situation and debate as to how asari conceive their children.

Yeah, I want the birth of their child to be a very happy occasion, something that both of them make a conscious decision to do. Any possible scene if it were ever featured in-game would be so sweet!

Hate to burst your bubble Les, but having given birth, I can honestly say that it is not that happy and joyous... it is definately emotional, and painful. And did I mention painful?  I'm pretty sure that Liara would experience much the same since Asari physiology is very similar to that of humans... just thought I would throw that in there Image IPB

Hello, fellow Liaraisons. Seems the SSR thread has been closed due to a silly scuffle.

Yeah, I think that short little comic is funny, Andaius. Good work!

I do love how Liara squeals "Shepard!" and rushes over like a schoolgirl, right after threatening some deadbeat.

It does. But we'll be back on our feet before long. Perhaps in conjunction with the next DLC announcement would be fitting.
Either way; the fact that Liara can be the subject of a sapphic romance is indisputable.

"Liaraisons"? that's something new when compared to "Liaramancers" and simple Liara fans, and also a little wierd i think...or... just for me....?

People are still trying to refute the fact that FemShep/Liara is a lesbian romance? Dear lord.

I can see where they're coming from when it's from Liara's perspective, as she has no concept of gender or gender differences. But from FemShep's perspective, it's a lesbian romance.

It's a play on the word "liaison" ; meaning bond between communicating parties.
Just thought it up on the spot. If there is an established phrase, I'll adhere to it, of course.

Vent here, jtav. What's happened? Someone baselessly insulting Liara or your work or something?

No, no! Any mention of Casey's views on SSR will do that. I suppose that is tangentially related to the story since it was conceived as a way of telling Casey to go hell.

Ah, you're in good company here if you wish to rage at CHud. Most Liara fans are still laughing hysterically in exasperation at that "asexual" comment. ;-)

It's still my theory that they want to sweep Liara under the rug for that particular reason (among others). They could of course allow her to be an LI for male Shepards only in ME 3, but since that would be all too obvious, it's far easier just to make her romance disappear for everyone.

Though it could also be that somehow they feel uncomfortable about the whole "romances in video games" thing. Arguably, ME 2 was already toned down not only regarding the love scenes, but also in scope and relevance of the romances. Awakening ignored the concept completely, even some letters from the old LIs were cut. Everything else they've been doing recently had the goal of making the game more compatible with the mainstream, I wonder if romances are an outdated concept in their view too? Might be interesting to have a thread about that, but since most responses from the normal posters would be worthless, and since the developers wouldn't and couldn't participate anyway, I won't bother. -_-

But to stay on topic, don't be surprised if there is no romance content, even if Liara is in ME 3 or a DLC.
