While it certainly would be a better alternative to the baby-reaper battle. Can't exactly see what it have to do with my complaint about the lack of a "locker" scene.

Have a touching scene at the "coffins" of the dead, and if you have a LI they confront you. I saw the video on youtbue when Shepard looks at the dead squadmate's "coffin" and it is very sad.

Isn't that the whole purpose of the dialogue wheel, though? So that you can select whether Shepard is like :D or :crying: or  or ?

That's what alot of Liara fans have a problem with. There wasn't a dialogue option that is like :crying::wub::kissing:. There should have been!

Yes there should, but all characters suffer from this, Liara suffers more toh becuse it just feels so dam wrong, it's also bad with ash.

"It's good to see you again Ash."

Like WTF!!!! I have been dead for two years and I see the woman I fell in love with and mmy Shepard says that :?

Wether or not they intended to have us find it, they added it. And when you add something, try not to make it suck.

Sadly that happens alot in ME2.

Yeah, that's what I think. It's a contrived way of maintaining the status quo of Liara being incredibly troubled and tormented, and why Shepard is as emotional as a pile of bricks during Liara's ME2 scenes, especially when she opens her heart.

One thing that have always bothered me about the Liara haters is that hey claim that "Liara does not care all at!"

No.

Shepard does not care.

Is it me, or do I rant all the time I enter this thread?

I could argue that neither one of them cares. Neither one of em talks about why they haven't tried to contact the other. Neither talked about their relationship, or lack of. Neither even talked about anything more then just business. Etc.

However, I'd give a point to Shepard, simple because he says the lines the make sense to me:

"God damn it Liara, I CAME TO TALK TO YOU!"

"You've been after the Shadow Broker for 2 years? Liara, THAT'S INSANE?!?!"

Ah okay, I would still prefer a scene where Kelly ask how you are doing. Mostly because this scene demands 2 things.

1) A ME2 romance
2) somebody died

Might have some double-standards considering i like the locker scene in ME1 which demands you have a LI. (You also get one if you don't have one, but it totally sucks).

That kind of reinforces the original point, though. We're given jerkass Renegade and bland neutral dialogue options, but where's the concerned and caring Paragon option? It's completely absent.

Case in point. Shepard reunites with Liara, her lover, whom rushes over to her to kiss her, halfway through the kiss, Liara breaks off, shakes her head and turns away, sadly staring off into the distance, something clearly troubling her. Does Shepard ask her how she is? Ask her what's wrong? Ask her of her wellbeing? No, Shepard just sits down and gets to business, It sucks!

I look at it this way. Shepard just got the breakaway, and is wondering "What the hell?" just as Liara starts talking business. Instead of going "What the hell? Why'd you break away?" he just goes with the flow of her business talk, in hopes she'll talk about it when she's ready. Hell, you're even willing to help her out in order to speed up the process. But it never happens, except for that one dialogue bit that you have to plan for.

My Shepard's more angry with his default, and heartbroken in the pull away, and sad in the "I couldn't let you go" part. So I have no complains.

As for the other thing, I don't think it is, since I think of it as this. With non-romance Shepard, she's happy he's alive. But with romance, she had a bond with him that was supposed to transcend death. However, no one has done a bond with someone that died, and then came back. So I bent it's doing something wrong. Also, it's been 2 years of being single, and then he's back. It's like kissing a stranger, except you knew him.

I never want my Shepard's to act that way to Liara, though. I want the ability for Shepard to be a little caring, a little considerate, to be worried for Liara and just what the hell is going on, especially when she's a little distant before she opens up. I don't want my Shepard to act like a stoic and emotionless idiot! :pinched:

Next Shepard is pissed off that she's still not talking about anything, or is being too much of a nice guy to bring it up. You're telling me you weren't angry with the way she was acting, and didn't hit the "This is garbaged!" "You're obsessed"?

That's not anything I'd expect someone who cares for and is concerned about the person she loves to say, but to each their own I guess. Those questions are all strictly professional, no hint of emotional intimacy at all. Plus, Liara answers those questions. If Shepard had asked any questions about the romance or wanted to be intimate with Liara at all and she was still distant and evasive, then I could understand getting pissed at her. As it stands in ME2 though, she's always very honest and forthright about her hunt for the Shadow Broker and what she needs to do, because that's all Shepard asks her about.

It's only when we get the "Anger at the Shadow Broker" option that Shep finally asks something on a more personal and intimate level, rather than anything that's strictly business, to which Liara is always honest about.

It may just be me, I prefer Liara in ME2 as a borderline psychotic nutcase. I like what someone else implied about her:

"LIARA: I tracked down your corpse for two years. I didn't know what I was going to do with it. Maybe have it stuff and mounted. But this Miranda gal had a better idea, so I let her have it."

"SHEP: Well, I'm glad you're not totally, creepily obsessed with me or anything."

"LIARA: Me? Obsessed? Hardly. Now help me kill the Shadow Broker. RIGHT NOW! I'll flay his body with my mind!"

"SHEP: Riiiight. Just let me know if you need help or whenever your new supply of meds kick in."

"LIARA: WITH MY MIND!!!"

Seriously, she's like the most amazing Bond villain ever.

I never noticed Liara's cute little facial expression when she looks up to Shepard to inform her that Saren is dead. It's sweet!

I agree with Les....the meeting is very 'business-like' and most of that is due to Shepard's dialog being limited to simply asking how Liara's 'own work' is going.  As I've mentioned before, Shepard getting angry at Liara is the only way to add some emotion into the scene, unfortunately.

You say "Why no romance dialogue?" But realistically, what could Shepard have said? "Well, since you're busy, how about a back massage?" "Why don't you kiss me?" "How about dinner? Even though you've been single for 2 years, and maybe weirded out by being kissed by a Cyber Jesus Corpse, and you don't want to rush into a relationship because I'm back from the dead?" And you say someone that doesn't care would say that, but I said those because I do. I have a problem with what she's doing, and she's not talking to me. If I said nothing about the way she is acting, how am I caring?

If you want to treat Liara like this:mellow:, that's your business. But I have a problem with what she's doing, and as someone who in a relationship with her, I'm not going to ignore what is happening to her, and pretend I'm ok with it. Instead, she's going to know my feeling about it.
