You know what would be excellent BGM for the beautiful Shepard/Liara romance epilogue scene?

A modified version of "Vigil". That would be so touching.

ME1's soundtrack was better than ME2's.  In relating to Liara, I hope they compose an all new song for her in 3.  I love how she got her own track in ME1.  <3

ME1's tracks were pretty iconic, though I did like some of the revamps from the ME2 soundtrack, like the Normandy Reborn. But I did like the club tracks in ME2 a LOT. Flux's music was good for a few minutes until oyu were like, "Oh my god, it's the same do-do-do do-do do-do over and over again" but the ME2 club tracks were actual songs on repeat.

All the romances deserve their own themes, I think. But you know, especially Liara.

Difrent romance themes for each character? That's actuelly a great idea!

The whole SB thing also had to be shoved in mainly to have a reason for her not joining, the comic was just a way to make a little extra cash with it,frankly her role in the comci could have been taken by other characters, for example Jacob and Miranda would have worked out too

Yeah, that's the hugest plothole. Miranda could have done everything and more with her Cerberus troops. Feron and Liara don't do anything that require them. Miranda could have talked to Aria to learn where the body was. Miranda could have tracked Tazzik's ship, gun down everyone at SB's base, got the data (since Feron downloading it infront of the Shadow Broker himself was no problem...), saved the body, and then everyone's happy. They literally didn't have to be put in danger, unless TIM prefers aliens dying for him, then risk Miranda.

The fact that Liara doesn't even acknowledge Miranda in ME2 just how much thought was put into it.  How cheap and lazy and you possibly get???

Liara:"I musy get revenage on the SB!."

I loved ME1's music.  It was throw back to the electronic sci-fi scores of the 80s like Blade Runner or The Terminator.  ME2's score was a generic modern Hollywood score with absolutely no memorable themes.

I'll think the more obvious flaw is that neither Tali or Garrus is acknowlegded by Liara.

Considering that by the end of Redemption both Liara and Miranda became well acquainted, nd developed a mutual respect for each other, I say it was a terrible oversight.

TIMs theme says hi, but really you can't argue music because it all comes to personal taste. I find the ME2 music way better then ME because I like how the ME2 music was done, you like the ME more because as you said it had a blade runner feel to it, but music can not be argued because it all comes to taste.

I think it would be funny if it were implemented in a patch, or unmentioned in a future DLC, that Miranda, Tali and Garrus will wave at Liara if they are present during Shepard's meetings with Liara. At least that would be something.

It's more that I like score with memorable themes, which seem to be all but gone nowadays in scoring.  The last film score that had an identifiable theme Lord of the Rings and that almost ten years ago now!  If you played me a ME1 track I would be able to say, "That's Mass Effect".  I couldn't say the same about ME2's

As I said music is personal taste. IMHO I think TIMs theme is the best theme Bioware has ever done, same as Legions and alot of the other ME2 themes. It's all personal taste, if we all had the same taste in music, this world would be borining.

It's not just with Liara, though. If Tali and/or Garrus are present when you go meet Wrex or Anderson, there is no unique dialogue there either. It's a horrible oversight.

Ugh don't even mention Wrex and Garrus. That really pissed me off, hell at least Tali and Garrus talk about the elevators but if Garrus is with you Wrex says nothing to a person he used to argue with, my brain is hurt :(

Yeah, but when they talk about elevators it's a BioWare injoke "haha, elevators were bad because teenagers with ADHD said so! LOL! Now we've removed them and replaced them with loading screens! We RULZ!"

And that make me want to put a fist through the screen.

And yes, no recognition and interaction between the old crew members was lazy and insulting too, but the Liara and Miranda one just BLATANTLY shows there was no thought put into that plot whatsoever.

Elevators where fine on the Citidel because of party banter, however other places the elivators where borining and long, I don't mind the loading screens since they are not used that much at all. The loading screens are only used

landing on a planet
going back to the ship
going to a diffrent deck of the ship
entering a mission zone
Going to Andersons office

Plus they where not that long so I did't mind them all, the point that there is hardly any party banter does bug me alot.

It's the little things that add up. Things like elevators and decompression when entering the ship added immersion to the game.

I agree, I did't mind the eleavtors in ME, in the Citidal, however it was the otherp places that I hated it and decompression was fine for the first three times, after that it was just a drag because again there was no talking or anything.

I did't mind the lack of elevators because really there was no point for them in ME2. The wards we visit in ME2 have none, only a couple of the missions even have them and some have dialog then it goes to a loading screen to load the area. It did't break immersion at all for me, but I am mad in the head so....

If they want to do elevators, they should do it like Metroid Prime trilogy did. There was elevators, but they where very fast.

I don't miss the elevators. Party banter was so minimal as to be nonexistent. ME wasn't KOTOR or DAO. The fact that Liara doesn't recognize Miranda and nobody responds to Tali or Garrus is inexcusable however.

I don't even play ME2 much...feels so empty compared to ME.

And of course you can have as much Liara as you want in ME.

How about the fact that there isn't anything between Shepard and Miranda like "What the hell?! Why didn't you tell me?" etc. either. Heck, when Shepard was yelling "It was you! You did this to me!" at Liara, I was thinking "Why are you saying that to her??? Why not Miranda? She was the one that made you Cyber Jesus. Not Liara!" etc.

Anyways, the fact that Liara doesn't react to Miranda, nor express any romance dialogue, nor react to Garrus or Tali, nor mention Feron by name, nor does Shepard ever wonder why TIM said she was working for the Shadow Broker, really makes me believe everything involving Liara was thought up last minute. That they just didn't know what to do with her, and kept changing her till late in the game.

It's just a huge pattern of bad. Every ME1 character is treatment less then the ME2 cast. Example, Garrus only has 3 standerd dialogue scenes in the game. Everyone else has 5, plus 2 romance dialogue scenes. Ash/Kaiden and Anderson only have one scene with Shepard, and that's it. Tali and Wrex got some decent treatment, but it's still behind what the ME2 cast got. And look what they did to Liara.

Anyways, about the elevators, I do miss them, and didn't see a problem with them. If you didn't want to use them, you could always use a terminal. But I'd use them anyways, because I wanted to listen to the dialogue.

They didn't want Shepard to be able to express a dislike or suspicion of the precious ME2 crew.

I have the theory that more or less the whole story was planned quite differently, but at some point significant changes were made. The only question is, for what reason. It can only be time constraints, or that the people in charge imposed some restrictions on the writers. Effectively it was probably a combination of both, time constraints and writers having their hands tied.
