When it comes to casual wear for the Normandy I would prefer the labcoat, while the dress is nice the coat gives a more professional feeling

As for armor I hope to see Liara fighting in it should she ever return as squadmate,in general I hope whatever squad we get fights in armor again rather then in high heels, spandex suits or half naked and with breathing masks in the vacuum of space that really breaks immersion

Liara's Redemption armour was alright, I thought. It was sexy, yet practical and it was believeable. I wouldn't mind if she wears it again in future games, though I think I'd like it to have a different colour scheme!

Yeah, I love the labcoat too. It epitomises Liara's intelligence, an aspect of her personality that I find very appealing.

I am interested to find out does Liara still have a passion for the Protheans and is still classed as "Dr" ...

Well, we could have at least found out about the first part, if the game were to let us give the Prothean Relic found on the Firewalker missions to Liara.  Instead, it just sits on the table in Shepard's quarters.

Liara is definitely still in possession of her doctorate, you don't lose your Ph.D just from not working in a specific scientific field.

I also happen to believe that Liara is still interested in the Protheans and the past in general. I've always thought her line referencing her time on remote digsites in ME2 to sound like she's pining for and misses those days.

Dont be suprised if they just go on and ignore her old job and pretend it never happened, also I fear the Protheans are more or less done now that the mistery of their extinction is cleared up and what was left of them as reaper puppets got blown into pieces

Also they have to appease those who came in with ME2 and since her being an archeaologist was never really mentioned that much,I guess they will just go with her new job as if shes doing it always, its "darker and edgier" so its also more "kewl and badazz" anyway

They didn't try to appease anyone who played ME 1, so why appease those played ME 2? Could just as well let her do something else again in ME 3 (probably something even more nonsensical, if she's in the game at all).

While I hope we can get her to become less jaded and cynical. Having her revert complety back to her old self would be even a greater disservice to her character. Liara have been through alot, and have her come out unchanged would be impossible.

Well maybe appease was the wrong word, but given how the treated her with ME2 its not like they will really care about what she did in ME1 or if she was interested in the Protheans for that matter, also I agree that they might just change the character completely again if they feel like it,maybe turn into an Asari stripper commando with the fitting atire if that helps to draw in a certain demographic why not,or make her the SB and shove her to the sidelines for good
Though I am certain of one thing she will be in ME3 for sure, but the question is how bad will it be this time around

No, they'll create a new character to be ME3's voluptuous fanservice female. They won't turn Liara or Ashley into that character, otherwise we would have seen evidence for it in ME2. As that's not the case, and both characters in their brief ME2 appearances seem to be exactly the same sexually, I don't think something like that will ever happen with Liara.

I wouldn't mind. I would like if they just ignored everything that happened in ME 2. Regarding Liara, as well as the main story. They did it with the events from ME 1, and it would be even easier this time, after all not much happened anyway. So give us the reaper research part that should have been ME 2, and the conclusion. Just do it right this time, and don't forget to make the ME 1 LIs companions, as they always should have been.

Frankly was there any evidence of the ME2 disaster in ME1 I would say no and I think this answers pretty much the question if Bioware really cares about that,if they feel like changing the character again they will just do it,nothing stopped them in ME2,the cut content also showed they could have done even worse, so I would say the same applys to ME3
If they turn her into the ME3 version of Miranda no idea, maybe yes maybe not,who knows they can really screw her up even more badly as they already have
As for Ashley no idea, but I have to say her short appearance actually kind of saved her from from getting her character assasinated same goes for Kaidan, who knows what they would have done otherwise to make them "dark and edgy"

Yeah almost everything was stupid in ME2. But does ME3 the last part of the trilogy need to retcon everything again?

Also aside from the "reapers are made from organics" (because it undermines sovreings speech and how reapers were presented) the ideas behind ME2 are not that bad actuelly. It's just that everything in the game is excecuted so badly it overwhelming!

ME2 is like ALIEN3. It's best to forget it ever happened.

Things about the Asari that sound like they could be true, but actually aren't:
*Tickling an Asari will cause her to produce random biotic effects

Keep adding more!

I thought ALIEN4 was far worse. But you do have a point that ME2 is something of a disaster when it comes to continue the ME trilogy.

Alien Resurrection had nothing to build on so there was no expectations.  ALIEN3 however had a great predecessor to build and and it could have gone anywhere, but instead they went the crap route, killing beloved characters for no good reason at the beginning of the film, introducing a load of unlikable new ones and instead of building on the story just making Ripley do exactly what she did in the first film again.  Hmm... sounds a lot like ME2.

But Liara's character "change" in ME2 is intertwined with the story and it's effects in Shepard's death and the Shadow Broker's actions. It's all had an effect on Liara in some way, and like I say is related to the main plot and narrative of the story.

How in any way could sexualising Liara be tied into the plot at all? It couldn't, and hence it's highly unlikely to happen.

Aliens is easily the best :P While we're on these notes, new Predator film! Not containing the xenomorphs, so hopefully it'll be good =D Back to Liara anywho!
