I think we're just the opposite of the other characters threads. This thread really only seems to start moving when there's something serious to discuss and moves a bit more slowly otherwise. Not sure why, but thats the way it seems to me.

Nozy, when you break through her shell in ME2, I think you have some of the most beautiful and moving Liara moments IMO.

Agreed, though not ALL of it is great like in ME1. The whole coffee cup line makes me cringe just thinking about it. Then I roll my eyes and move on.

Nozy, for me the coffee cup line again highlights her social awkwardness. It sounds like Liara trying to be threatening, but not exactly succeeding as it sounds so awkward. She's still the same Liara. The fact that she's doing all of this for Shepard, putting herself through all this hell, makes me sympathise with and love her even more.

I thought her quoting Benezia did a good job of highlighting the ackwardness because she was obviously trying to fake being intimdating and failing miserably at it.
The coffee cup line though, she wasn't "acting" at all, that was supposed to be real rage, and I think was supposed to be "cool" and "edgy". <_<
Yeah she is still the same Liara underneath all that though, all 15 seconds of it that we get to see.
