I really hope Liara is a squad member in ME3. I also hope BioWare does something cool with her like through her storyline giving Shepard the ability to soften her back to the way she was in ME1 or to further harden her and make her even colder and more ruthless than she was in ME2. I really liked the ability to harden Alistair and Leliana in Dragon Age, and I hope such an option makes an appearance in ME3 as well.

Should we tell him about the screenshots from the Liara DLC that appeared on the site for a few hours and were then pulled?

I think we'll definately hear something ME2-DLC related at E3. They probably can't wait to announce the ME1-LI DLC, but thought E3 would be an event worthy of auch an epic annoucement xD

I hope so!
Wouldn't it be nice if they announced the Liara "Full body freckle count" DLC? Image IPB

That would mean we get to count ourselves, right? That would cause a brainmelt (in a good way^^), I'd say. xD

So, is it true that Liara gets additional and unique idle animations in the PC version of ME1?

I don't know or more accurately I've never noticed any special animations in the PC version.

I think I've seen a few screenshots of Liara adopting a very unique and feminine posture that she doesn't on the 360 version. She kinda shifts her weight to one leg, and places one hand behind her head. It looks pretty sexy!

Remember Liara's anguished cry of "Mother! Fight him!" as she painfully watches Benezia succumb to indoctrination? Poor girl, how difficult and painful must that have been for her to be forced to watch that? Liara then grieves alone, as when you go speak to her on the Normandy after Noveria she says she has already mourned her. It's sad how Liara wanted to grieve alone and in solitude, but I have to applaud her emotional strength and resilience. How she doesn't allow her own grief and pain to compromise the mission. She's emotionally strong, very strong indeed. Moreso than alot of people give her credit for.

That's quite funny that she's mourned already. According to Bioware Asari should take years and years mourning, since they live 25 times as long as a Salarian, who mourns in a matter of hours...

I don't think lifespan dictates how long a species mourns for. Salarians grieve only very briefly due to their biology, not due to how long they live.

Anyway, the manner and extent in which an asari mourns is probably down to the individual, and not the species as a whole. Look at the differences in how some humans grieve. For some it can take years, others a matter of days. Plus, Liara is time and time again shown to be very atypical of the asari. I think it shows her emotional strength that she was able to not allow her grief to compromise the mission.

I think that she didn't really mourn and just doesn't want you to worry about her. It's similar to when you say "I'm fine" ... when you aren't really. Even with her matter-of-fact scientist mind and Asari culture she couldn't have mourned her mother's death in a matter of hours (minutes in-game) - at least I don't see it that way :)

Very true, Baal. Liara is actually still mourning Benezia throughout the rest of the game:

"I grieve for what happened to her. But I will not let my grief interfere with what we are trying to accomplish."

Present tense. She's still mourning and sorrowful over Benezia, but she's not allowing it to affect the mission at, because she's so strong and awesome.

Morning.

Mind if I just sit here and fume? I'm getting sick of Liara being called boring and poorly written on another thread. I find her interesting, even if I don't care for her romance (something she shares with Miranda, oddly enough). I like quiet, intellectual characters. Is that so hard to understand?
