No, just no. Even I have my limits on who I'll ship Liara with (though I read an awesome Ash/Liara and the idea of Kaidan/Liara intrigues me).

I like Liara with Ash and Kaidan from ME1.

From ME2, Miranda, Thane, and maybe Samara for the May-October asari relationship.

I like Liara with Ash and Kaidan from ME1.

There's a little chemistry between them, but nothing really major.

I've always thought that Ashley and Kaidan should have paired up in ME1 if Shepard romances Liara. Like you said, the Virmire decision would become very powerful and emotional, with the pair of them pleading with Shepard to save the other's life.

It wouldn't be powerful or emotional.

It would be hearthbreaking!

I always save Kaidan, mostly because.

A: He's supiorior rank.
B: He's a biotic.
C: Makes more sense from a story perspective to sacrifice Ashley.

I have a feeling that most people here have chosen to kill Kaidan because they play femshep. Just a theory mind you.

I usually save Ash. I only saved Kaidan on my Fem Shep run, but i mostly blow him up.

I chose Kaiden, but he was pretty heroic about dying so if I ever do a 2nd ME1 playthough I'll be killing Ash every time.
