I played ME when it came out, but only got into the series in a big way with ME2. So maybe we just break one of my legs?

Ash is my second favorite ME character (behind Liara, of course) so I have a hard time leaving her on Virmire...impossibly hard.  I do like Kaidan a lot, however.

I have never romanced either of them, so that has never affected my decision.

I´m always saving Ash...

Because everytime Kaidan starts talking I´m mentally screaming "oh god when does it stop??!!! make it stop!!"... It´s his voice, I can´t stand it. So it´s a pretty easy choice... :P

My first ever playthrough, it was Kaidan. Reason being is because I had heard that at some point in the game you have to make the decision to save either Ashley or Kaidan. When Kirrahe requested a squaddie for his suicide squad, I made the hard decision to select Ashley, as she is a soldier and I figured she would be a greater asset to Kirrahe. Plus, I thought Kaidan would be needed to prepare the bomb due to his tech skills. I therefore thought that it was going to be Ashley who would die.



I was obviously wrong, however, and when it came to the decision I chose to save Ashley, as I figured it more worthwhile to save Kirrahe and his men too. Yeah, they were purely tactical reasons, and nothing personal against either character as I love both of them!

It´s so long ago that I played Kotor, I can´t remember anything of it. But if it´s the same voice actor... :blush:

Liara's voice is incredible, though. It's one of the many things about her I find very appealing!

I'm at the Virmire base right now. I'm on the part where that indoctranated salarian decides to try and use his head as a key to his cell (and fails). Anyway, Liara's response made me laugh, looked something like this.....Image IPBImage IPBImage IPBImage IPB

My "canon" Shepard saved Kaidan.

I don't hate Ashley (I would prefer to kill Garrus), but I like Kaidan more.

I've often wondered that as well. Sometimes I like to pretend she says something reasuring regarding the matter. Maybe something like, "Are you alright commander? I know your  decision, was a difficult one. I am so sorry you had to make it. If you ever want to talk...".

Always Ash save for one Femshep who romanced Kaidan. Like him much more than Ash, but the Williams family has have enough. Hate the redemption in death trope usually, and here there´s nothing to redeem from my POV. Quite like when Shepard can call Ash out about it.

I also have something for characters that care for their little sisters, I´ll romance Miranda for that (with a no LI Shepard, no cheating in my games).

I like to imagine a scene in which Liara comforts Shepard after Virmire too. Trying to ease Shepard's guilt and pain, and reassure her.

I absolutely love the locker scene during the lockdown of the Normandy, one of my favourites in the Liara romance, actually. Therefore, I like to imagine and insert lots of similar scenes into the romance and story. Why not? It's fun, and helps deepen the romance!

Sometimes, I just imagine things she would say, and apply them to the game.Example: If you have the Colonist background and you do that quest "I remember me". I like to think that Liara helps you calm that woman down so you can use the sedative. And since its related to Shepard's background, Liara then learns a little more about Shepard. And can then console him/her on the some of the bad experiances he/she has went through in his/her life.

My Shepard is a Spacer and always convinces Zabaleta to go get help for his problems. I think Liara would like my Shepard's compassion and empathy.



I'm not sure what my Colonist Renegade biatch Shepard will do though.

Shepard would have to convince Liara that she only did it out of necessity, and that there was no malice intended at all. I would imagine seeing Shepard do something like that may colour Liara's opinion of her quite significantly.
