I always kinda thought Dr, Chakwas was the one who put the picture in there. Where would Shep find a picture of Liara on a Cerberus vessel?

At the beginning of issue 2 of Redemption, you see Liara standing helpless at the window of the escape pod she's in. When the Normandy then explodes, the look of horror and anguish on her face is just heartbreaking.

Hey you guys i just finished reading the issue 3 of comic and it seems that Liara is really mad crazy about Shepard, hell she almost killed Feron saying something about shepard then she went into the shadow brokers room and went crazy destroying everthing in it.I feel really sorry for people who cheated on the liara which i am guilty of because i cheated on liara with Jack . (pray for me every one)
Its not too late, you can still delete that career and go back and replay it being faithful.
I've actually been considering doing a playthrough where I cheat on Liara, just to see how it plays out in ME3 and so I can dump Miranda to go back to her.

I just assumed you downloaded it off the extranet, although you could have put more effort into finding a more flattering picture for sure. Liara would be like the asari version of Shepard for her role in stopping Saren and saving the Citadel. She's probably got her own fan page and forum. Hah, can you imagine Shepard reading through a Liara forum and grimacing at all her adoring fans lusting after her or putting up photoshopped lewd pictures of her?Nozybidaj wrote...

Hmmm...interesting thought, but I doubt it. Shepard seemed as surprised as everyone else when the Normandy was attacked. But, idk I wouldn't want to count anything out quite yet. I'm sure Mac has something up his sleeve.

A DLC will also never change anything from the existing game, if anything it will add to it. Therefore the Liara scene would stay the same in any case, only with additional dialogue to start the new quest, if the quest doesn't start from somewhere else. At one point then - hopefully - could a proper romance continuation happen.
But with BioWare's DLC track record so far, I really wouldn't hold my breath. It's far more likely that it'll be just another pew-pew mission with a bunch of terminals to hack. If a Liara DLC will materialize at all that is, which of course still isn't even certain.
And let me repeat again: If it comes to this, you fully support it when you buy it. Complaining on the forums has no relevance in comparison.

Edit - Who's to say Shepard didn't take the picture of Liara, sometime between the ending of ME1 and the beginning of ME2? Then just keeps it in his posession... It's a rather common thing... Or am I the only one who has a picture of my GF in my wallet?

She didn't. She actually got angry at Feron for a remark he made about Shepard. She looked like she was ready to kill him and was generally angry with him for most of issue 3.

Can someone tell me what the hidden dialogue is? Are you referring to when she says she gave your body to Cerberus because she wanted you back?

The amount of information BioWare has to explain would make it into a full blown expansion.
I guess you could think of the Liara situation as a similar to of The Ballad of Gay Tony and The Lost and The Damned.
There seems to be several organizations/people that are connected to each other in some way and there has to be actual thought put into the storyline to explain it.
The situation actually feels similar to some parts of GTA !V if you haven't read about or played the expansions. There are some things that happen in GTA that are not explained at all in Niko's story, but in the expansions they are.
I believe BioWare may be trying to pull something like that off (only Liara will NOT become a gangster and we will still play as Shepard), it seems to be almost set up exactly like the diamond story in GTA.
In this case, everyone seems to want something (but we will not know what it is until Liara tells us in the expansion) and everyone is connected in some capacity.
Of course I don't think BioWare would go the "shoot first, ask questions never" route like Rockstar does. They already did that for all of ME2.
For the storyline to make any sense whatsoever, we need actual conversations and emotions.
Even those Shepards who didn't romance Liara (how could you
The good part for those of us who romanced Liara would be that there will be a lot more romantic involvement, as it is a pretty serious situation and your love's life is a stake.
Nothing would happen to The Blue Goddess, Shep will be able to save her life no matter what, but it would most likey result in a permanent personality change depending on if you took the Paragon or Renegade route.

Well you were blasted into space where you died from suffocation on top of being charred and frozen. Then your carcass was recovered and shipped around by the Shadow Broker. Then that corpse was rescued and hauled away by Liara. Then Cerberus spent two years rebuilding you. You're woken up off the surgery table and have to fight your way off a compromised base. So my assumption was that somewhere along that timeline you probably lost whatever you were carrying with you.Leather_Rebel90 wrote...

My guess is that the Illusive Man would want to save something like that, considering he wants you back exactly how you used to be. A picture of that importance would serve as a reminder of who Shepard is IMO.

I did not compare ME to GTA, I just said that the basic idea is the same for the expansions of GTA and the Liara Expansion.
I said everyone is connected in some capacity, just like in GTA IV.
How is everyone in Liara's situation not connected, would you like to explain that to me?
Did you actually see me say ME2 = GTA IV? I didn't think so.
I sure as hell wouldn't compare ME to GTA unless I was joking, they are two completely different genres for one thing.

Yeah, it is probably just wishful thinking.Srslydude01 wrote...
A 15+ hour expansion just for Liara would be too unfair to the fanbases of other characters, esp Ashley/Kaidan. I personally would love if they would do that, but I don't think it is all that realistic. The information is there, but would the general population buy it? I can't say for sure.
It would realistically be around 5-7 hours depending on how much information BioWare can think of. (I can hope for 15+ though, lol).
I guess if the Alliance was somehow connected to the whole situation, BioWare could put Ashley/Kaidan in there again as major characters and make the expansion longer, Wrex already has a good enough reason to be out of the game.
I honestly have no clue, I am just guessing.

Whose to say they don't have something in the works for Ash/Kaidan as well? I actually kinda hope they do, and even though I'm not an Ash/Kaidan romancer they are still important parts of Shep's story, I'd buy it.
Look at Awakenings for DA:O, I think that is about the size it is expected to be is it not? I would expect something about the same size/price. Of course I wouldn't mind if it was larger than that.

It wouldn't be that hard to tie in Ashley/Kaiden as representing the Alliance in a big hunt for the Shadow Broker. Especially if there some lingering Reaper/Collector tie in. They seem to be in tight with Anderson like you were, and we know Anderson believes in the Reapers. I'd welcome something like that really, if only because it would hopefully lessen Cerberus involvement in the whole affair.Srslydude01 wrote...

Annoyingly, since Mass Effect: Retribution takes place after ME2 and yet again Cerberus is the focus it doesn't seem like we're going to get any DLC/expansion that would have my second favorite theme behind Liara. Namely, dismembering TIM and feeding him to my fish.

Liara is the only squad member from the first Mass Effect that cannot get killed. So this means that this is Bioware giving the haters a huge nose-thumb, or that Liara's character *specifically* has a role to play in Mass Effect 3, possibly a greater role than others.
And should Liara survive the events of Mass Effect 3 (and she'd sure better!) regardless of player choice, that would she could be around for future installments of the Mass Effect story. I mean think about it; she's already proven she can sell comic books, and lots of them. Where Bioware to take advantage of this, potentially Liara could become Mass Effect's R2-D2, a character who is always around, even if the events take place hundreds of years after the events of the story that introduced them. Liara still has at least a good eight hundred ninety-two years of potential story left.
In fact, here's an idea; nearly nine hundred years after the events of Mass Effect, the batarian homeworld is threatened by the shockwave of an exploding star. Matriarch Liara promises to save the batarians and enlists the help of the captain of a batarian mining ship. But Liara is too late and the supernova consumes the batarian homeworld. Overcome with a mad desire for revenge, the batarian captain, whose wife was on the batarian homeworld when it was destroyed, goes after Liara's ship. However, both of their ships are pulled into the artificial black hole Liara created to absorb the supernova and they are both sent back in time, the batarian captain to the very day Shepard was born and...
Wait... this is starting to sound very familiar...
