How far do you think we will get ^_^ ?

Far enough for Liara to be heard.

To be honest, I doubt the length of the character threads will have any influence on what happens in ME3.

Maybe some of their actual content, however...If the devs were to read some insightful and interesting discussion about Liara, then it could have a positive effect.

I've played the scenes back to back, and the lighting in Liara's room definitely changes over time. When you first mean her, the lighting is very dark. But after you return from hacking the terminals, the lighting brightens big time. Don't know if that means Liara's becoming more paragon for helping her, or what.

It could possibly be symbolic, yeah. When you first walk into her office and you hear Liara threatening some deadbeat with Benezia's line and you're deceived into thinking something's gone seriously wrong with Liara, that's when it's dark. As you break through her emotional walls and start to realise everything is not as it seems, that's when it lightens up. Whether that's intentional or not remains to be seen.

I think so...Liara's first mission gives is renegade points, her second mission is paragon

Initial conversation

    * No morality points

Immediately after Completing Data Recovery

    * 5 Renegade

Returning to Liara after Completing Data Recovery

    * 2 Paragon for saying "Is he after you?"
    * 2 Renegade for saying "Are you on his side?"

After finding 1-4 data fragments

    * 2 Paragon for saying any of the "Kill the …" options

After finding 5 data fragments

    * 2 Paragon for saying any of the "Kill the …" options
    * 5 Paragon for saying "None of the suspects fit."

Returning to Liara after reporting any suspect as the observer, or reporting that no subjects fit the descriptions on the data fragments

    * 2 Paragon for saying any of the "Don't give in to temptation."
    * 2 Renegade for saying "Good luck, Liara."

Gaining 5 Renegade points for the System Hacking mission always struck me as being a little odd too.

Well, you are breaking the law for something shady. Which then leads to helping her try to kill someone.

Also, I picked the "I don't got time to hack termimals" bit, and she blew up on Shep, saying " YOU ASKED DAMN IT! I didn't ask YOU for any favors. Not even when... never mind."

This bit makes me wonder if she's talking about how you asked her to help face her mother. If so, it makes me wonder if she not only still blames herself for her mother's death, but also somewhat blames Shepard for not doing things differently, and killing her mother. It might be why she's turning herself more into her mother, in order to be close to her.

She says "You asked." Big difference there.

Also, she doesn't join Shepard in confronting Benezia because Shep asked her, but of her own free will and because Liara wants to. That much is said when you actually confront Benezia.

Then what do you think she means?

The fact that Liara recovered Shepard's body, and handed it over to Cerberus because she wanted to see it revived. She never wants to hold it over Shepard's head like that, because she's not manipulative in that way and cares for Shepard too much.

It's one of the early hints that everything is not as it seems, IMO. Especially as the whole theme behind Liara's ME2 scenes is knocking down her emotional barriers.

Nah, I doubt that. A character just doesn't think one thing LET. Even characters that love people, have some hate in them about their love ones. She might have meant "Not even when you were alive" or "Not even when we were together." She might have not wanted to say it because it was going too far.

It's more likely it's referring to what I'm saying in the context of the rest of Liara's ME2 scenes...

They were not necessarily together in ME1, so it wasn´t written with that idea in mind, and the alive one sounds odd. The Benezia issue, even if Liara wanted to help seems the most likely IMHO.

I just interpreted it as Liara saying to Shepard that she didn't come running for favours after Shepard was revived, and that she holds nothing over her head, almost revealing that she was the one to hand the corpse over to Cerberus in the process. That's why she backtracks.

Well, the alive part is more because she knows he was "dead" at some point. And the together part is because they've been together for at least 2 months (I think) since the first game. But I think it's refering to her mother, since that seems to be the theme of most of dialogue. "For a moment, you were almost sounding like Benezia."

The Turians are Roman styled space raptors.

The Quarians are a cross between the various migratory cultures.

The Salarians are based on the Venetians (militarily at least)

Who are the Asari based on?

I've seen the term "Liarasexuals" bandied about, which I like.
