I have this horrible weakness for overwrought, even corny romance.  I ate it up.  *watches the ever growing list of Sheps to be played with increasing panic* Not that I don't still love Liara. I just love Tali and Miranda too. Liking so many female characters is strange for me. Usually I fixate on one or two men.

The series does have some good female characters, I will give it that!

About Shepards, my 'canon' is a Paragade that romances Liara (no cheating). I have a goody-goody Spacer I started recently in ME1 that will romance Liara throughout the series. I roleplay her as already being in a relationship by the time ME1 starts, and her falling for Liara will be a 'cheating', in a sense. She will stay loyal in ME2 as well (to Liara, not the old gf!).

Then I have a more Renegade Shep that romanced Liara and stayed true. I play this Shepard mainly to see the different sides of the game, as far as morality goes.

My main is a Renegon (is that the correct term? - I don't pay much attention to alignment-names^^) who romanced Liara, of course. Also NO cheating as I could never do that. He's a Spacer and War Hero.
I also have a few other Shepards, but I only used them to see what happens when I combine different "origin-stories". I only have two notable Sheps besides my main - one romanced Ashley (Earth Born/Ruthless) and one stayed single in ME1 and romanced Jack(the only romance I liked in ME2) in ME2(Colonist/Sole Survivor).

I think Paragade is more Paragon but with a decent amount of Renegade points. Renegon would be mostly Renegade but with a decent amount of Paragon points. By decent amount, I don't mean a scant few picked up here and there (like the Renegade points Paragons can't avoid getting during Liara's hacking missions).

My Paragade tries to understand things before acting, but sometimes looses her cool, granting her decent amount of Renegade points from time to time.  She is also an Earthborn/Ruthless, which gives her a fair amount of Renegade points to start.

Renegon: The Honorable Renegade.

And if we're on the topic of Shepards, I figure I might as well toss in my two cents. The male side of my main Shepards is a Paragade Spacer, Sole Survivor, Liara-romancing Shepard. Liara was the one who kept him sane throughout Mass Effect 1, she was the person who humanized him, who allowed him to forget everthing he had done and what he'd endured. Needless to say, he was undyingly loyal in ME2.

He's the one I'll be featuring in my upcoming artwork.
And I currently have a running Shepley playthrough. But dang, I need to romance Liara again!

Jennifer Shepard is a Renegon. Mostly Renegade, but she makes the major Paragon choices (Save Rachni, Save Council etc) but she's just a total biatch. She's very ruthless and efficient, and a bit of a jerk, but ultimately does the right thing. She's a Colonist/Ruthless, so she hates batarians!

Both romance Liara, of course!

Sounds as my infiltrator Motoko Shepard I based in the character from Ghost in the Shell (optical camouflage in ME2
was great and fitting  to that idea).
Had one Shepard for Kaiden and Ashley and a not romance one but the harddrive died a few months before ME2 and find it hard not to romance Liara. Only way is leaving Therum for the end. Her sadness when you reject her...can´t watch it again.

Well, everyone's a little Renegade from time to time. For instance, who passes up the Renegade interrupt on the krogan during Mordin's loyalty mission? Or "Just once I'd like to ask someone for help and they say 'sure, let's go, right now! No strings attached!' " Priceless.

And as for unwaivering Liara-loyalty? *offers fist* Pound this, sir. I hear you. I was loyal in ME2 to an extent that you might call paranoia. Heck, I panicked and reloaded after Miranda touched my arm, fearing accidentally beginning a romance.

There'll be no down-turned picture on my watch!
