@CM Beautifully written letter, I myself have considered writing what I imagine was the correspondence between Shepard and Liara during the events of ME2. I imagine Shepard would say something similar to that to Liara prior to travelling through the Omega 4 relay. Sad, and very poignant.
@MDK The lineart looks great! Can't wait to see the finished version. I like the screenshot of Liara in the formal Alliance attire too. Very nice.

I finished my replay of Mass Effect 1....I love Liara (not that I didn't love her before).

Hear hear.
When you play ME1 again after a long period of not doing so, I find that you fall in love with Liara all over again. I adore her!

Thanks kraidy. I'm curious as to which characters DK has written in addition to Liara.

I know the characters he has written in his books and they are flat, Liara however is not, liara is a well-writen character and so lovely

Having the entire story and plot included in-game would have been ideal of course, as that way Liara and her actions could have been altered to suit each player's individual Shepards, including whether she was romanced or not. But if they wanted to farm out the story to a different medium, then a novel would have been best.

I think Redemption would have been alot better had it been a novel in a similar vein to Ascension, rather than a comic book. That way, the story and Liara in particular would have received the exposition and descriptive writing regarding her emotions, thoughts and motives that I feel was necessary and should have been elaborated upon, something that Redemption sorely lacked.

Book wise, I don't think that's possible, since she can't even talk about Shepard besides "I knew Shepard" and "I was apart of Shepard's squad." You could never write He or She. You could never say Shepard was good or bad. You can never say if Shepard gave a damn about her. You could never even say Shepard killed the council. And you can't even say if Shepard was black, asian, indian, or white. Thus, you could never truly explore her feelings, because Shepard's just "Shepard, a person I care about."

That's true...Revelation and Ascension worked because Shepard isn't featured at all, and the decisions and their effects made in-game are virtually absent. I suppose Redemption worked because the dialogue was so minimalistic.
I still feel that it would have been best to include it in-game, though.

BIOWARE: Hmm... That's... a bit unhealthy....
MICROSOFT: It also means we wasted $$$ on romance scenes....
EA: Yeah, can't have that.
BIOWARE: Oh well... I guess we'll have to have you cheat on LET... It's the only way.
LIARA: I understand... Who should I sleep with?
BIOWARE: Well, someone suggested the Illusive Man.
Any chance that you are talking about me?

I thought of doing a video project, in which i hacked assets from the game, and re-told Redemption in short episodes, but it was too expensive. Thus, I might do a re-telling in fanfic form.

But this means I can finish up the lineart for my upcoming artwork. It's almost ready to be inked, I just need to fill in some details.
Can anyone supply me with good reference of the lower half of Liara's Normandy outfit?
