Yes, we got screwed over. I realised this when i completed the informer quest and my Shepard last words were:

"I'll talk to you later Liara".

Shepard. You do know that your going on a suicide mission, and it's likely to be a oneway trip?

Hopefully we get news on an expansion pack at E3, if not then we can only hope that they will release one eventually. And if don't do that? Then let's pray Liara be one of the starting companions (since they always have the most dialog) in ME3.

Honestly, was it really that hard to write a slightly altered script, have Ali Hillis record these seperate lines and only have it activate if the Liara romance flag was present?



It wasn't that difficult, BioWare. Seriously.

Hell I would have gone for a "alright dear I'm off to kill collectors so let's have a hug" hug.
That would have shown some consideration on Bioware's part.
They screwed the pooch with the ME1 LI's in ME2.

I'm curious.

How many posters are still on who were on from the start?

Because most of the other threads have a pretty large drop off between thread version to thread version.

I get the feeling that Liara would be a little overwhelmed by a fanbase this strong.

Yeah, that was my reaction too.  I've added some Liara/Shepard drama post Citadel battle into my official 'canon' just to make sense of the whole situation.

We've lost a few valued and regular posters from this thread, sadly enough. I miss the likes of JPFanner, Driveninhifi, Yeled, scmadsen, JaylaClark.

We also gain quite a few passionate and intelligent Liara fans all the time. Liara's fanbase remains very, very strong.

No I mean even people who are fanatical in their devotion to their favorite character (like the Talimancers)

Both Liara and Kaidan attract similar hate because their respective characterisations and personalities are a little more subtle and nuanced. Some people wrongly see this as being "boring".
