Why would someone hate Liara?
It doesn't make any sense.

They claim she's boring or something.

But she's adorable!
In that spunky nerdy hot girl kind of way!
Which is very aborable by the way.

I agree, and I do not think she is boring.  Her character and personality are more nuanced than some of the other characters BW has thrown at us, but I don't think this makes her 'boring'.

What J said.

Both Liara and Kaidan attract similar hate because their respective characterisations and personalities are a little more subtle and nuanced. Some people wrongly see this as being "boring".

Bah if they can't appreciate good character development than who needs them.

You certainly have gained some new fans. I've done, if not a 180, a hard right turn on Liara over the last few months *hopes no one finds old posts*

Honestly I started liking Liara in the first place because she reminded me of my first serious crush.
......That's sad right?

Actually, I'm really interested in reading your original opinions of Liara, jtav! Repost them here, or if you don't feel comfortable doing so send me them in a PM.

I'm glad that you've grown to love her, though!

Smell that everybody.
That's acceptance.
Savor it.
It's rarely encountered anymore.

Okay this has been bugging me ever since I first played ME2.

Do you think she could actually flay someone alive....with her mind?

Because that's scary powerful.

I think so. She's a very powerful biotic, and I get the impression that she's honing and improving her abilities all the time. Plus, her mother happened to be an extremely powerful Matriarch. She stands to inherit some incredible biotic abilities!

It's just the level of concentration and precsion it would take to actually flay someone alive with Biotics.
It's a little intimidating.

You didn't find her singlehandedly being able to kill and neutralise an entire room full of enemies in ME1 a little intimidating?:P

I love how Liara who is 108 when ME2 starts seems to be as powerful as Samara a 600 year old weapon of scary death.

So how powerful will Liara be when she hits 600?

Think about it.

Very! I think she's extremely precociously powerful with her biotics, and if she continues to develop them she's going to be astonishingly powerful once she becomes a Matriarch.

I think she's more powerful than other asari her age due either to genetics, training, or both.  I'm not sure if she's quite as powerful as Samara is yet.

If I recall corectly. Then you could (if you specced her right) have Liara put Robo-Saren in constant biotic lockdown. And if not, then you could just have Kaidan help her.

She were the most overpowered squadmate in the game.

Inferno rounds to the face did wonders for robo-Saren's personality.
Made him glow if you will.

Her awesome biotic powers wasn't the reason I took Liara everywhere, though.

I took her everywhere because she's Liara and I loved having her with me!

Aya. Liara is a very strong biotic for her age. She might not be as strong as Samara right now, but thats because Samara had 500-600 years to practice and let her strenght grow (Asari becomes stronger biotics with age right?).

I think this may be possible, with a very good biotic amp.  I usually play either an adept or sentinel, so between myself and Liara, Robo-Saren didn't get a shot off.

I had gathered that much.
Still it was nice to take Saren down without being hit once.
Because he was floating the whole time.

I would imagine that they do...Liara might be more naturally gifted (due to genes/training and upbringing) but Samara has way more experience, giving her the edge.

It wasn't just her biotics too.

Overload was also incredibly useful. She was by far the most complete squadmate. She is awesome!!

I personally used snowblind rounds myself. Mainly because Saren need to chill out.

"ba-dum-tish".
