I'm still in my creative writing 'mode', currently thinking of various pieces of writing and going at it.
LET, remember that crossover fic I am currently writing (Liara, Im hoping, figuring prominently)? I have written a speculative letter, one that I think the main char would write to Liara before one of the chapters. Also, I have started that sketch I had bleated on about approx. 400+ pages ago, though I can't scan it, so I'll have to transfer a copy of it via GIMP.
Otherwise, Im betting things are rather slow here. What's currently being discussed?

This thread is incredibly slow at the moment because very little is being discussed. Most topics have been thoroughly exhausted and we're all eagerly awaiting some new Liara content.
I hope E3 provides this!

Think about it, during the two years Cerberus rebuilt Shepard she rose to a position of power as one of Illiums top information brokers, if she succeds in taking out The Shadow Broker her position will be even more strengthened and she might even get a chance to move in on his/hers/their turf. Putting Liara in a prime position to feed Shepard information and resources for the grand finale.
Somehow I also get the feeling that Liaras innocence will be totally gone by ME3, still making her charming as hell but guite a bit more morally dubious.
I'd rather see her as a squadmate of course but I would personally be happy about a more kickass Liara that does'nt faint all the time

Hey!
Is it just me that gets the feeling that Liara and her intelligencenetwork might be Shepards new allies instead of Cerberus for ME3?

If they keep her the same or even worse as she is in ME2 in ME3, I'll go to their office and blow myself up.
We want the old Liara back! >:C

She still has her doctorate. It's just it's not being used at the moment.
I wonder if she receives a new title for being an info broker? Shadow Liara? The Illusive Liara? Barla Liara?
Ahahahaha! Barla Liara made me imagine Liara as a Volus and I could'nt stop laughing

That's always possible, but then she wouldn't be a squad mate *has a sad*

Wouldn't mind this if done properly.

Plus, I can't see how they'll have her continuing to work as an information broker considering that she hates the job, and is only working as one out of necessity.

As for Liara's personality within ME 3, I think Liara's innoncence may be present, but this has been marginalised by the exposure she had witnessed, both due to exposure to the essence of conflict (begun in ME 1) and the underground, 'dark side' workings of the galaxy during her time in the Terminus Systems.
There may still be that core of naivity and innocence within her, but she clearly has 'matured' in terms of her personification and values; she seems now to posess more guts then she originally had in order to survive in the worst possible enviroments.

The whole thing with Liara in ME2 seemed to be putting an inherently good person in an inherently bad situation. If they expand upon this and handle it well, then I think it could be quite compelling.

It might still be a necissity to save the galaxy though, and helping Shepard kick butt all over the galaxy would probably be quite a boost of love for the job
But as I said,I'd rather want Liara as a squadmate.

No thanks. I'll think I prefer to have Keith David, Lance Henrikson and Martin Sheen to be the guys that briefs me on the mission.
Liara must be on the Normandy!
"EDIT" Hopefully you will get better Erin.

Eggsactly my point, but the actions she takes in ME2 and her goals makes me think of her as a much, much darker individual than from ME1, and that's to me not necessarily a bad thing. At least not for the whole gaming experience.
