More realistically, commissioning a Liara plush or something would be nice.

I wonder if I can find someone to do this?

Well, WingedMoggy over on Deviant Art once made a plushie of her Shepard.

I hope ratz doesn't mind all the Liara fans flooding his home to view the statue.

I also would like a small figurine I can display in my own home as well.

No, I don't mind.  I'd also like a small figurine.  It'll look great besides my Cortana, Jean Grey, Lara Croft, Master Chief, Lulu, Optimus Prime, and Brute Chieften statues.

I see I missed some real strangeness. I don't think I could listen to Hudson's blather even for confirmation of DLC.

Just finished Samara's loyalty mission. Ardat-yakshi are called the daughters of purebloods. I wonder if Liara harbors any fear of being a carrier.

And the photo is back up. So I'm being faithful in my fashion.

A Liara plush is something I'd definitely invest in.

Oh, and I want a statuette too! One of Liara in her green and white labcoat. With a sweet smile on her face, and her hands clasped gently behind her back. Squeeeee!!!

Huh, is she even aware of their existence? If she were, and that she harboured any fear of being a carrier, I don't think she would have, under any circumstance, melded with Shepard at all. Especially considering her personality.

I don't know.  It doesn't seem to be all that common, really.  I think she would worry about this as much as any other rare disease the baby could have.

It only happens if two purebloos mate. Because liara is not one and Liara melds with Shepard, her daughter will not be one.

Even among pure blooded Asari the condition is extremely rare. It also manifests when an Asari reaches maturity which apparently is well before 100 years old (as Morinth was diagnosed at 40 years old).

Ooooooh, we're talking dormant carrier, and not suffering with the condition.

My apologies, I misunderstood! Derp!

Oh, I thought it was that purebloods had an increased chance of giving birth to one, regardless of the species they mate with.  It's never clear who Samara's partner or partners were.

And Les, I'm sure Liara would know about the Ardat-Yakshi.  Being a pureblood herself, it's probably something that's been brought up to her by Benezia, her mentors/tutors, or perhaps even her peers in an attempt to tease her.

Why not? You're already fanficcing and fanarting, why not some fan arts and crafts too? I'd buy a Liara plush made by you!

I do like those ME plushes....shame there's no Liara.

LOL no problems Les. That's why Samaras daughters rae that. She was a pureblood, and so was Samaras partner, thus there children had the risk of being "space vampires"

It sounds like all asari are aware of ADY and that's a big reason for the stigma against purebloods. The odds are so astronomical that I don't think it would be more than a niggling fear right now. She's a century or two away from having children. I'm not even sure she can have children right now or within Shep's lifetime.

No it's made clear that both Samara and her partner wherep ureblood. The reason why Liara is not one is because either she was plain lucky or her mother or father where not pureblood.

If Liara knew about the Ardat-Yakshi, why wouldn't she have brought it up when talking about the discrimination and bigotry purebloods face in ME1? I know the condition obviously hadn't been conceived yet by the writers, but you have to work it into Liara's character. She would have told Shepard about them if she knew, I think.

As it stands, she believes purebloods are discriminated against b/c she thinks that the asari feel that they do not gain anything on a genetic level from reproducing with another asari.

Maybe she is scared that Shepard would not like her if he found out about that?

I had thought differently...it's been awhile since I had spoken with Samara.  I'm just about to recruit her in my current ME2 game and I will pay more attention this time!
