That's ok though, I mean we had nothing and still turned it into something :-)
Also, when actual Liara-DLC is announced at E3, I shall use the brainmelt pic, because that would be an accurate description of my condition after the announcement xD

No, just confirmation would suffice for me. Something to put our minds at ease. Of course, in an ideal world I'd love for them to say that the Liara DLC will compromise of 12 additional hours of rich, substantial, story and character laden content that allows the player to continue their romance with Liara. Sadly, this isn't an ideal world.
Gah, I can't wait!!!!

They should have included a small swell of emotional and poignant music just as Liara starts to open up, and reveals the extent of her suffering. Pretty big oversight, IMO.
Of course, there is absolutely no music accompanying any of Liara's scenes in ME2. Not even a damn remix of Vigil. They should have included something like that!

Actually most of them don't want interspecies children from Shepard & Tali (which I observed from the thread and other areas). Only a few them want it. I don't. Doesn't make scientific sense. And as jlb said, the fact that they cannot produce children can add depth.Darth Cheesecake wrote...

I realize I'm in the minority here, but I don't think Shepard/Liara (or Liara/any human we've met) will produce children. The codex gives the impression that only matrons can have children. While Liara could choose to enter that stage early, it would be very early indeed.
I don't think they will go the 'no baby' route (they will retcon it if needed), as most seem to want Liara/Shepard babies.
Personally, I wouldn't mind. They could adopt children if they wanted to start a family.
One thing that interests me about the Talimance is that not only is it interspecies, but Shepard and Tali cannot produce children by natural means (at least, I hope they don't pull a reton here!) and must adopt if they want to go the whole nuclear family route. I think that is very poignant and adds some depth to the Talimance.
They'll get crusader on you...
It's pretty bad.
Anyway, I've never heard that only matrons can produce children. Is that really true? I guess that makes sense...but I've never heard it or read it specifically.
Also I would not mind if Liara's romance had the option (preferably an option & not forced) of children. Her romance does to some slight degree have something to do with her being Asari and the attributes thereof. Though I think the best route as others have suggested may (really - as long it's optional it's no skin off my back) that the ending for the Liara/human romances is ambiguous in terms of offspring.

Ah, anyway . . .
Thought I would start showing some more love to Liara. Thread has been a bit different lately. Three and a half hours until E3! Hopefully we get something! I would love to do more with the SB storyline. It's so intriguing, ans would be such a shame if Bw left that sub-plot by the wayside, or until ME3

Yay!!
I hope that a significant part of the Liara/SB plot is resolved prior to ME3 too. Hell, they could even have Shepard and Liara deal with the Shadow Broker in this DLC or xPac, thus eliminating Liara's reasons for not joining the Normandy during the events of ME2, but still have something come up that temporarily prevents her from rejoining the squad again.
That way, she's freed up for ME3, but it still leaves room for a recruitment mission.

Redemption should come today. I'm going to try to start work on the story in earnest. Unfortunately, my copy of Alpha Protocol is also coming today. I've wanted to play a spy in an RPG for years.

I hope it isn't resolved in DLC. I want to play the rosolution, but I'm stuck with dial-up. Yes, I'm that petty.

I'd send you my hard drive containing the Liara DLC files so that you'd be able to copy them to your own hard drive. ;-)
Enjoy Redemption, if you can. Go in with minimal expectations and you'll be fine. Don't have hopes that it will be an in depth character study of Liara as many of us did, or indeed that it will elaborate at all on anything Liara told us in ME2. I think you'll be okay and enjoy it, jtav.
