Sooo what caused you to first start liking Liara?
Not sure, I guess I got told so many times that "Oh she's a creepy stalker" that by the time I actually got some one-on-one time with her, she more than exceeded my expectations. But I'm not sure, it's been a long while.
And the rest has been history.

First impressions? Her voice and the polite, considerate and gracious way in which she carried herself.

She certainly does not lack in fire.
What really has attracted me to Liara as a character is her solitary aspect; I just love solitary characters it seems. Juhani, Visas Marr, Morrigan and now Liara, it's a definite trend.
Her ability to work on her own, to do her own things, I think is a great boon to her character.

No real resolution for either but the journey was fun.

Yes, Juhani was probably my first great love in an RPG.
Good times.

Well, what drew me (aka Christopher Shepard) to Liara in ME 1? Well, I hypothesise that it was certainly her intelligence and her moral convictions.
Also, for some reason, the other potential male romance (Ashley) for some reason didn't quite click. Sure, she was a potential, but due to the Alliance's 'no fratenisation' policy (as it is in existance for all militaries), I guess things didn't quite click.
Therefore, I approached Liara and well .... the rest, as they said, was history.
