I don't know. Using someone as a freedie inbetween romances... It's one thing if I left one romance for someone I now love... but a freedie while still commited to someone else...
I never did the Kelly thing, I'm just saying it doesn't count towards 'cheating' and is considerd a 'freebie' my most.
Anyways, I think with Samara, you might get a different confrontation in ME3. Example, Liara/Ash/Kaidan will be saying they want to marry you, and then Blam, Samara walks in and says "No! Not yet!", and takes Shepard away into a corner to tell him/her she's sorry, and she wants him/her. And thus, you'll need to choose.
That's possible...I never did the Samara thing either so I won't know what happens.

I dislike the idea of a freebie, though. "Oh yeah, I stayed faithful, baby, don't worry, banging secretaries don't count!"
I wonder if they'll include "consequences" for it like they will the other romances.

Not sure, but I don't believe there will be. I dont think a cuddle or a dance qualifies as "banging" either.Nightwriter wrote...
I've never explored the Kelly romance. I find it hard to take her very seriously.

The Omega 4 relay scene with the real LIs is implied, since they really don't show much it can only be implied. Kelly was dinner, then a dance and cuddle, theres nothing implied there, in the same sense as the actual romances.Nightwriter wrote...
Oh, pardon me then. I thought it was implied they had done it...
Edit: Additionally, if it was implied, at all, there wouold have been a trigger of the paramour achievement and the picture frame on the desk would have been face down.

But why would it be hard to take her seriously? I think she and Mordin are perhaps the best written characters. And what's left of the romance certainly feels more realistic than any of the actual romances. Until the point when she's reduced to a piece of decoration in Shepard's cabin of course.

Exactly, and Kelly is one of about 3 in the entire game that really gives a crap about Shepard.bjdbwea wrote...
I think maybe Kelly was considered to be a full romance at some point, obviously for male and female Shepards. But since that concept is apparently not wanted anymore in BioWare/EA games, or at least not in the ME series, it had to be scrapped. Bits were allowed to be left in.

Kelly's amazing. She got TIM to email me about the Overlord thing after I told him where to stick it.

If Liara is again a squadmate in ME3 how important do you think she wil be? For now in the ME history she is one of the most important characters because she is crucial for the sucess of the first misson, and despite her reduce role in ME2 she plays a huge role in Shepard's return. All of this combined with the fact that she can't die gives me some hope that she will be an important squadmate in ME3, and a LI of course.
One thing we can say is that she has the best chance of all the old crew of being important, as she's guaranteed to be there. I think she will play a big role, perhaps similar in size to the one played in ME1?

Perhaps she will help Shepard find something important that the Reapers left behind in one of their invasions, like this her arqueologic skils will not go to waste.jlb524 wrote...

It would probably be ironic, on some level, since most of the species with binary sexes view the Asari as patently female.

I think it'd be interesting to hear an educated Asari's thoughts on human women's struggles for suffrage and equality. I'm not trying to start a political ****storm, but the Asari would probably be shocked, as a species without binary sexes, to find that a species could discriminate based on something as out-of-one's-hands as one's sex. This isn't to say that the Asari themselves haven't encountered their own kinds of discrimination their own species, as is certainly the case with Purebloods.

Liara and Ashley talk about something like this in one of the famous elevator conversations. It's a small conversation thought.

Yeah, but something more substantial than what can be discussed on a single elevator ride. I'm sure Liara would have a lot more to say.
