Yes, but Feron doesn't have Kepral's Syndro,e, and I will be annoyed if Thane gets a magic cure. If there's another two year timeskip, I want him dead. Also, I have a bit of a crush on Feron.

He is probably dead, though. Still, banter...

Most likely, yeah. The Shadow Broker hired Wrex to assassinate Fist for a seemingly minor betrayal. What Feron did, sabotaging the SB's once in a lifetime deal with the Collectors, makes that look like peanuts by comparison. The SB is very egotistical, it seems. He'd want revenge and retribution.

It still needs to be elaborated on as to why the SB doesn't just capture or kill Liara, however.

I think bjd holds the opinion that these DLCs are shallow and somewhat lacking in story, and that if we purchase them we will encourage BW to develop more instead of a truly deep and substantial Liara DLC.

Pretty much. My opinion on DLC: Waste of time and resources that would be better spent developing a real expansion, like it used to be. Plus, I have no interest in small bits that are more of the same and add nothing to the game. Don't need that, can just as well play a new or an old game. Oh, and I refuse to be ripped off. The Fallout 3 DLCs were reasonably priced, but that's about it.

You are of course free to tell yourself "if I don't buy it, the next one could be even worse", that's what they want you to think. (Clever scheme also used by politicians.) Just don't delude yourself to thinking it would lead to a proper Liara DLC. I for one about had it with BioWare/EA anyway, and their behaviour is only one more reason I probably wouldn't even give them my money if I had an interest in the content. You can complain a thousand times on a forum, but your wallet speaks much louder. Same with the comics: You don't like them? Wrong. You loved them. That's the message you sent by purchasing (all of) them.

And that's that. Rant over. By the way, Liara is beautiful.

I suppose she's attractive. For some reason, the characters in ME that really interest me are not the one's Im physically attracted to, and the ones I have some sort of crush on are not the ones that I want to pick apart and analyze.

So I just finished reading a CHud interview http://www.joystiq.c...-mass-effect-2/

According to what I understood BW is developing their game based pretty much on their 'data mine stats' so it would seem if enough of us chose to remain faithful to Liara that it would influence how and what they would proceed with in ME3 or I suppose DLC. BTW CHud does acknowledge in the interview that ' people loved Liara'

That "people loved Liara" line drove me to drink yesterday.

People loved her..... so they decided to take her out of the squad, make her romance virtually non-existent, drastically change her personality, and hide the reason for those changes behind a one-shot choice on the dialogue wheel.  This is how Bioware rewards fans for falling in love with their characters?

That much was always obvious. So the question is, what do you do with that information? You can either use it as a selling factor, or if for whatever other reason you can't to that, try to change people's opinion on the matter. I guess it's obvious which option they chose. <_<

I'm trying to get past my cynicism. Trying to reason how completly stupid it would be of BW to discount the importance of the Blue Goddess

Lucky for me, the characters I'm most interested in character-wise are also the ones I'm more physically attracted to.

Have faith!

Casey says:

We always try to balance the fact that, people will say "I want all my characters back from the previous game because that's what made the first game great." But when you think about it, part of what made the previous game great is the process of meeting those characters for the first time. That has to be part of the experience too, how you meet new characters.

You will get to meet cool new characters!!!!!!  See, they luv you.

I wonder if data about those who chose to remain faithful to Liara is a measure of just how significant a character Liara is and if that significance helps determine what direction they decide to take her. On this point I'm hopeful but again the nature of BW's courage of conviction or lack thereof remains to be seen

Whatever they do, they can't take ME 1 away from us. :)

Well, as long as they deliver a patch for their DRM system once the authentication servers are disabled. :pinched:

I enjoy meeting new characters. I expect and embrace that at least half the team will be new people. I do object to mangling the old ones, even though I like ME2 Liara.

I pray to god they won't use the data. They will see how many people cheated (mostly because of shoddy cameos) and believe that
A: ME2 LI's are faaaar supirioer and will once again be in focus.
B: Hey look! People like new characters, so let's create a new cast!

Either way. ME1 LI's will be left in the dust.
