Yeah, I think this is good news for Liara fans.  Now that we know that character-specific DLC is a reality, I'm a little more hopeful than the Liara DLC actually exists, and will eventually be released.

Indeed! It's very encouraging, and really does bode well for the Liara DLC. We just need confirmation now!!

I gotta get this off my chest, though... it's kind of a d-bag move on Bioware's part to unveil the Leliana DLC now. They must know that the Liara fans are frothing at the mouth for DLC.  I mean... the game wasn't out a day, and people were already talking about the tagged files in the PC version.  They must've known that we'd be hoping for an announcement at E3.

But they give us Leliana instead.  Thanks, but.... sigh.

Leliana is amazing =) Not as cool as Liara of course, but yeah, hopefully that'll mean there is really a Liara dlc down the line somewhere, I'm lame (and rich?) enough to have bought all the dlc for DA So jah, it's a definate buy for me, I've wrote an FF with Leliana in and everything

I'm the same. I only bought DA to help kill time before ME2....You can guess how that turned out (the wait for ME2).

I feel you.  Plus, I didn't care for DA so the Leliana news doesn't mean a thing to me. 

Wait, what?... Oh, DA DLC. K. For a moment, I thought they announced new DLC for ME2. I don't play Dragon Age so that means nothing to me, though I'm sure Dragon Age is a good game (not in the Mid-Evil fantasy mood right now.)

That's a surprise!

She's a great character, but I predict the usual DLC stuff. That's why I keep saying, even the confirmation of a Liara DLC wouldn't make me celebrate yet.
