Was Liara in Shepard funeral? At the begining of Redemption she is still trying to find what happened to Shepard.

Well as Jacob stated the Alliance kept Shepard alive, at least officially, and so I'd imagine they said there couldn't be a funeral as that would be a rather public event. So it wasn't until much after Redemption that a funeral would've been held.

Or am I wrong?

Shepard was only officilally declared dead a long time after the events of redemption, so she had already found the body by the time his funeral would be made. Even then I'll think she would come. Even if she knew that Shepard was not technically dead, she still wen't, if only for the respect and love she had for him.

But I could also imagine a sad scene when Shepard finally gets the new Normandy. He goes up to the private cabin and decide to wacht his own funeral. Only to be completly broken when he finds out Liara wasn't there.

After what the Aliance said about Shepard claims about the Reapers I don't see Liara going to a funeral organized by them.

I imagine that Liara was furious when she weard the Aliance was destroying everything Shepard fought for and that he have died in vain.

In my opinion for the Aliance Shepard was less inconvenient dead so they wouldn't keep is dead secret for long.

I think Liara would have definitely attended the funeral, no question. Is it not likely that Shepard's funeral would have occured after the events of Redemption? Liara did not know that Shepard was dead at the beginning of the comic, so that to me indicates that she would not have been declared KIA until after the events of Redemption. Of course, it's entirely possible that Shepard was declared KIA and the funeral held prior to the events of Redemption, and Liara was attempting to lie to herself that Shepard wasn't dead. I see that as being quite plausible.

No, LET, that's not possible because the Alliance kept him alive to the public with all the vids and commercials featuring him, because he was so popular. Shepard was declared dead after Redemption, not before, that's why a funeral couldn't have been held until after the events of Redemption, because the public would find out about a funeral of such a celebrity.

*cough* unless I'm wrong, of course, but that's how I remember what Jacob told Shepard about the events after the destruction of the first Normandy... :)

You'll have to excuse my ignorance! I've only played through ME2 once, so I don't really remember alot of the details.

So, the Alliance declared Shepard KIA amongst themselves, but kept Shepard alive in public? Missed that. Doy.

I wonder how Liara felt about Shepard's image being used and exploited in that manner?

What I want to know is if scrogging Liara actually involves any coitus. I'm curious because it looks like some sort of mind scrog where there eyes go black and Shepard starts hallucinating pink mist in the air or some weird crap like that.

If it's just mind scrogging then then what was the point of them getting naked in Mass Effect 1? Did Shepard need additional visual stimuli or was Liara trying to simulate human mating behavior to put Shepard at ease?

Tell me, would you, as the average gamer, rather see a love scene with naked people, or a love scene with dressed people looking at each other, one of them having black eyes?

I think we both know the answer.

Also, just because Asari can do the mind meld thing doesn't mean they don't enjoy sex.

Speak for yourself, I found no pleasure in looking at Liara's ugly blue buttocks. I think she's creepy and the fake painted on eyebrows with the Lindsay Lohan freckles look trashy.

I like Liara as a character but she is way too ugly to be a good scrog.

Hmm, there is more to life that just sex and marathons, Kevin. Liara is an awesome character, and she's also one of the most beautiful characters in the game. Liara is also the reason Shepard is still alive in more than one occasion.

Bw obviously thought so too, they made a comic serious featuring her . . . even if it did butcher her a little.

Well go mod it and replace her with some American blond **** wearing a bikini if you're one of those guys.

Liara IS beautifull.

Wouldn't that be cool?  Maybe that's how you recruit her in ME3.  You're in Afterlife, and you notice her from across the room.  She tries to sneak away, but you catch up to her.

"Liara? What are you doing here?"

Won't happen, obviously.  But it's an interesting thought, IMO.

Playing ME1 earlier, and I was listening and watching the first conversation with Liara on board the Normandy. What struck me is how Liara openly admits that one of the reasons as to why she became and archaeologist and defied Benezia is due to her desire to rebel against her mother, and be her own person. I absolutely adore that, it showcases Liara's assertive, independant and somewhat rebelious side. Although her passion for the Protheans was probably her chief motive for turning to science, her desire to be her own person and not adhere to what was expected of her is so endearing, and a trait of Liara's that I absolutely love.
