Hey folks!

Back to topic: If they ever allows us to influence Liara. Then I hope the renegade path will be like what you said (think we talked about this 2 days ago). Renegade Shepard will manipulate and twist Liara's love and loyalty into fanatical devotion. Turning her into a sort of new Benezia. A ruthless advisor who will support Shepard in anything.

Hi Lizard!

Indeed, we did talk about this. I think it could be very compelling and interesting if they did something like that for Renegade Shepards who romance Liara. Manipulating and exploiting Liara's love in that manner is just plain evil!

I need to think up an equally compelling Paragon path, though.

I'll think that if we ever will be able to influence Liara. It will start at the just before the shadow broker confrontation (think Garrus loyalty mission) as they get closer and closer to finding SB Shepard will have the option to encourage Liara to take vengance or ask if killing the shadow broker will make her happy again. Then when you finally get to the SB You will have the 3 options:

Arrest SB
Kill SB yourself (following dialog will then influence Liara to be P or R)
Have Liara take her vengance

But since we were talking about a paragon path.

I have a feeling that, even when Liara have stopped SB and is no longer an information broker, she will still hold a large amount of guilt over the things she have done. A paragon will forgive her and ease the burden she have hold the last 2 years. That would be a logical first step. As for the second, i'm too lazy to write right now! ^_^

Agreed with that, Lizard. I think there will be an eventual talk down. I'd like to convince Liara that offing the SB isn't going to ease her pain and result in her finding happiness again. Help Liara, and be supportive and comforting to her. That's what I hope happens.

If things go my way. I would pick the middle option then have her take the paragon route.

That theme did occur in a good many loyalty missions...Shepard talks down a squad mate and prevents them from killing someone.  Happened with Mordin, Jack, Miranda, and Garrus.  I could see them implementing something similar with Liara.

I'd like that, and I'd also love it if Liara's DLC mission is like an expanded version of Jack's loyalty mission, with Liara recounting her guilt and emotional torment in between the combat.

Yeah!  No disc swapping is another PC benefit.  Mine doesn't crash that much either.  If it does, it happens on the same day for some reason.

The only one where I felt it was done right was Garrus. But I admit indtemedating Jack into killing that crazy guy was one of the most satisfying lines in the game when I played my Darth shepard.

"You are a killer Jack, it's what you do".

Dialogue with Liara interspersed amongst the combat in Liara's DLC could also be used to recap the events of Redemption, and inform players who did not read the comic.

I just want Liara to gradually open up and reveal the full extent of her pain and suffering, and to be able to finally properly comfort her!!

I'll think the most hearthwarming dialog should be when you get abord the normandy again. See my earlier suggestions (Have to dig a few pages though).

Also. We're so close guys! Almost 1500!

I have some incredibly emotional and heartwarming ideas for a scene in Shepard's cabin that occurs between the pair after Liara's DLC mission is complete.

A heartwarming emotional reconciliation, and both Shepard and Liara opening their hearts to each other. I'd love something similar to what I've imagined!

I don't think that's her body, but yes, I agree.

Yeah but I hated that. I liked that with Jacon, I didn't have to talk him out of it after doing it 4 times. I instead could talk him into killing his dad. That was a good twist.

Does anyone consider that your actions regarding SB might be influenced by who exactly the SB is ? I mean suppose it's some Pitney Fore type character as opposed to some evil TIM type.

Well, there is only one Shdaow Broker (or the one group of 10 people). It wouldn't be realistic if you can change who it is, since the Shadow Broker has been around for a long time.

Nah, they won't do something that elaborate. The full nature of the SB's true identity has probably already been decided upon and set in stone, it just has to be revealed.

Pitney Fore!  Haa haaa!!!

Yes, I think the SB's identity may influence my (and even Liara's) reaction.  I hope it's something different than the 'TIM type' honestly...that's what is expected and I would prefer a twist.
