Nevermind hug interrupts.

Why wasn't there a swell of emotional music when Liara opened her heart? In fact, there is absolutely no music whatsoever during Liara's scenes in ME2.

And the rest of the team would probably blame her too. Liara would never be the same.

Ouch, this is getting downright nasty to contemplate.

Remember how nobody hated Joker for getting Shepard killed. <_< So my bet everyone will go easy on Liara.

Somebody should write a fanfic that takes place  on the ice planet the SR-1 survivors landed on. Point of view should be from Joker, and hopefully Liara, Tali and the Vimire survivor will shred him apart (not litteraly of course).

Hating Joker because Shepard died getting him out is something I'll have to disagree on. It's a commander's job to do everything they can to get as many people out alive as they can.

And I think that Joker probably blamed him more than anyone else did.

But bottom line; it was the Collectors who killed Shepard, not Joker, not Shepard's sense of duty to his/her crew. It was the Collectors who were at fault.

It's because they want the scene to be emotionally mute. They don't want it to mean something and they don't want it to mean nothing. They don't know what they want it to mean.

If Joker wasn't so goddamn stubborn he would have evacuated the ship when the situation was FUBAR (meaning pretty much from the start) his actions might have won a few seconds. But it's obvious that even before you get control of Shepard, that the whole situation is out of hand and everyone should just get out of there.

Probably there was before they 'chopped, cut and pasted' her scenes

I'm more inclined to believe it's because the scene is a rushed, cut up hackjob. I get the impression that the content of Liara's ME2 scenes has been revised and altered so much that they simply ran out of time.

Guys, it's just my opinion of that scene. I can explain everything, but at the end of the day, why can't we just start talking about Liara? My opinion isn't worth squat. Seriously.

I don't mind discussing this...it is Liara related afterall.

I thought everyone was enjoying the discussion :D

Yeah, but things are getting to heated now. This is the Liara for ME3 thread. And as Pups said, it seems like I'm harassing the thread, which I'm trying not to do. I can fight my opinion all day, and I'm sure you guys might like fighting me, and saying I'm wrong, but I like you guys, and this is going on for too long.

Liara didn't even get 'Vigil' music.  It played on Horizon when Ashley or Kaidan show up...it played during the Wrex reuniong.  Liara didn't get it :crying:

I don't mind as long as it's Liara related...I don't care if people even speak poorly of her or criticize a part of her character.   But I shall stop and post a Liara pic!

The reunion scene really did miss a brief excerpt of "Vigil" when Liara exclaims "Shepard!" and rushes over to greet Shep. Should have been included!

No heat. You think what Liara asks you to do for her is morally wrong and you're reluctant to comply. I think a lot was out of character for her but that's how it was presented and for myself I make sense of it because my character trusts Liara, so Shepard hacks a few terminals but does raise concerns about Liara's behavior change directly. Yes there are limits to what one will do for a friend or loved one but I don't believe Shepards actions in helping Liara crossed the line. Not questioning Liara about it or not cautioning her would have been uncaring IMO. In any case her mission remains incomplete.

Why would they have intentionally made the scene emotionally muted though, Night? Ashley and Kaidan get a emotionally charged scene. It still sends shivers down my spine when I watch it now. It's got a little oomph to it.

Why would they have Liara's scenes be devoid of emotion? I don't understand.

Yeah, it's a nice one, good work. Although you won't find much love for Sheploo here. Not my opinion on the matter, I'm just saying which way the wind blows.

I know that. And truth be told, I actuelly only posted the picture so you could perhaps get a new sheploo to work with so to speak. Maybe create a new fanart with it.

Because Bioware hates us, and wants us to suffer.

Ambiguity was their goal. Music would have colored the scene.
